I've belatedly started my new years good running intentions. 11k on Friday and 10k today. Not very fast but everything helps. My trainers now drip with mud though, the cleaners are going to love me. If I manage to stick to 10k about 3 times a week I might enter a half Marathon in March. Not entering yet though in case I fall off the wagon (and I've got no money until after payday).MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0

Hey hey; what's the running club all about then?
Do we post our goals and check back to say how we get on, or is there a fixed 'standard' we have to do every week (a la Flylady?)
Very curious; as I must get fitter because I'm very unfit; but my mates are not the supportive type when it comes to exercise. They are the types who will come round with a 6 pack or lager just as I'm trying to jog out the door.

Well done in search of me and I m glad the puppies are safe and well - lol
Amazed, welcome - all standards here mate, some are here to get fitter and lose weight, some are here to achieve their own goals, a few of us are doing the London Marathon for the first time!
Good luck - once you get the bug you will love it22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500

Well did my recovery run on Monday after my 16 miles on Sunday, first mile I felt awful and did 10:46, but then picked up and ended up doing 5.3 miles in 49 minutes, so I think first mile was getting Sunday out of my system.
Got to do 9 miles with the running club tonight and then, 6 on Friday and then 18 Sunday!!
This better be worth it come London Marathon day
Got my new trainers today as well got them really cheap so very DFW !22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500
