  • I know, I will do my absolute best to get a place. I am even daring to join a running club to help me train (just in case) and the bloke I spoke to says that he gets offered places so all may not be lost.

I have my hotel booked so I may still come and meet you all anyway. I would be truly gutted not to get in, but I have 3 places to chase on Monday so fingers crossed :D

My diary is in the midst somewhere, I will go look for it and do a very boring update just for you :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Well after posting that I was preparing my kit to get back out again over Xmas, I have some news.............................................I'm Pregnant! :j

Feeling OK at the mo, tired but not ill. I'm going to go out for long walks first to get muscles going again then stick to regular short runs. I have to be careful as I get bigger as had a very bad back last time so will take it easy.

I'm off to GP on Friday, but I reckon I'll be due in July!

So I'll be watching you do London from the sofa whilst quite large.

    Ev x
  • Congratulations - that's fantastic news!!!

    Congratulations Ev!!

Good to hear how everyone's doing - well done on the Santa Dash SM!

I haven't run at all but did do a 9 mile walk this week with my friend who I'm doing the Moonwalk with next year, got our fundraising page set up as well.. was surprisingly not too achy after the walk though I still have thighs of steel two days later :rotfl:

  • I went out for a wee run the other night, and have been watching my food closely this week so far - and I'm now up to 8lbs lost since starting work back here in Edinburgh! (Used to commute 6 hrs a day so turned into a big fat lump but getting back onto the straight and narrow!)

I have a clear target now as I won a holiday to Beverly Hills last week and will be there in the Spring staying at the Beverly Wiltshire (Ha ha, I'm more Beverly Hillbillie than Pretty Woman so they probably won't even let me in with my £1.50 - Primark joggers on!), and I really want to make use of all the facilites there including the gym. I don't, however, want to be on a treadmill with a big red sweaty face and an even bigger red sweaty bum waggling about if there's some rich hunks going around!!! So, determined that I'll be able to look at the pics from the holiday in the future and say, "You were looking great".

Some folks have weddings to motivate them, I've got my holiday!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
