:cool:Hi Guys
I've been out of Amazoning for a while but just started listing again and have a bit of a dilemma which I hope you can help with. I've had an enquiry from US about a textbook I have for sale asking if I will post to US.
The textbook book though says not for sale in US. Would you sell the book still?
If so any thoughts about how to go about sending to a person abraod. I'm guessing I can relist to allow international posting and increase the price so I am covered?
All thoughts appreciated!
this will be absolutely fine - I've done it a number of times and the FEDS have not yet banged down my door - technically you're not selling in the U.S but to the U.S.

I came across two books today whilst out hunting but they are not showing up on Amazon database so I can't list. They are both easily found on bookfinder and going for £7 and above. What should i do or should that be what can i do in this situation? I don't want to get stuck with them
New Baby Care Book - Dr Miriam Stoppard ISBN 0-86318-452-9
Captain Pugwash Annual 1976 - John Ryan SBN 7235-0334-6
firstly I'd search the listings by the title and author as sometimes if a listing has been created by another seller for the title then the ISBN won't show up - if still no joy then pop to the Amazon sellers boards and hint that you need these listing - any pro seller will create the listing - they can then give you a number to search for the new listing - thus allowing you to add your book to it a few days later - people will often do this but say "just this once" so it'll only work a few times.

I think what I will do then is dwell on it for a while before I leave feedback.
I understand you dilemma - as a seller too it's all to easy to have your feedback rating slashed unjustly (the percentage of buyers who are beeped off and leave feedback will be much higher than the percentage of buyers who are happy and do so - it's human nature) - however, two weeks before delivery and then only prompted by yourself - deserves poor feedback I suggest - not sure it matters whether 1, 2 or 3, as neutral isn't actually neutral when it comes to feedback percentages as we all know - the score from the Great British jury is deux pwoins!

Dear board people - having read all the sage advice on this thread I took the plunge and listed some books that seemed to be in short supply. As so many folk have reported I was visited by the Amazon fairy within 24 hours and sold my first book for £15 (Penguin Book of 20thC Fashion Writing). Thanks for giving me the confidence!
I actually undercut the other copies listed by £30. My thinking was that if the paperback is available for £5 nobody would want to pay £45 for hardback. I wonder if I was right? What do you folks think of books listed apparently randomly at £50 or more (not first ed or collectable), especially when there are related editions much cheaper? It's all very intriguing...
I agree with rare stuff - not that we can know for sure but it wouldn't surprise me if one of the sellers at £45 actually bought it off you - conversely, the item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it - would be interesting to see if the other listed move at all over the next few months.

I like the site as a whole when searching for authors bibliographies.

Hello all,
I would like to share this important news with you - after intense negotiations with her captors over a number of weeks a consortium of small sellers has managed to secure the safety of the much loved Selling Fairy :T - the day started like any other - a typically slow day with beggar all selling on Amazon - however, around lunch time - with the promise of a jumbo bucket of chicken wings and a 4 stone tub coleslaw as the ransom - her captors (a bunch of stinky American Megalisters no less!) eventually set her free :j
- I am also glad to report that whilst a little shook up, she is none the worse for wear and will be returning to work today (having completed a full medical to her doctors satisfaction) - :T :T :T :T - see you all at the post office tomorrow then!
Further reports as they become available.
