No it's been disastrous..I'm obviously on the server not working (according to Amazon sellers lore  )

I sold 51 books in my last chargeable period despite having my holiday settings on for almost a week. Now I haven't had a sale since Thursday..even new stock I added which were very high in the sales ranking haven't had a nibble.

Luckily I had a very good book selling weekend on ebay so all is not lost, btu I wouldn't mind my Amazon sales coming back as well.

That's exactly my experience and is also mirrored by comments on the Amazon seller forum. I was doing really really well, I was so positive that I'd finally cracked it, then whoosh, everything just stopped dead.

    Weird.

  • Thank heavens for GreenMet I say!

Selling up to 3 books a day on there, mostly very light and thin so will go as large letter, and all the sort of common-or-garden type that are only good for carbooting at 30p each maximum if I'm lucky.

Not going to get rich on the proceeds but it's clearing out the bookcases nicely and in the absence of sales of the more expensive 'good' stuff on Amazon it keeps me from wanting to pack the whole bookselling thing in:confused:

I've not had a greenmet sale for about 5-6 weeks now..the only time I bother logging is in when I delist a book as it's sold on ebay or Amazon. I do keep a few hundred on greenmet just in case though, as when I do sell I seem to sell 2 or 3 in a few days.

Well done. Haven't had a Green Met sale for months! :o Might try listing some more penny/chick lit books on there soon. :)
  • Yes, jo_b, GreenMet has been a life-saver for me in the DFW cashraising sense.

I saw somewhere on MSE that GreenMet sell some of their listed books on Amazon but I'm not sure how all that works:confused:

    :embarasse _pale_

Just sold a book ...hurrah...trouble is for some stupid reason I under priced it, I can only assume I missed off the first number 1 as it went for £3.50 and I have a horrid feeling it should have been £13.50 in line with the other books listed.

It weighs a smidgen under 1.5 kg so will cost me £5 1st class or £4.95 as a parcel, my big fat envelopes cost me 24p each, so I will be out of pocket.

Oh well, live and learn..I just hope the buyer doesn't change their mind and want a refund when they get it.
