    What's £3.49 between board buddies? ;)

Besides, just looked on ebay and someone sold a copy for £49.99 on BIN.

Would you mind awfully if I hated you a little, just for a short while of course :D

Seriously though, well done. I search high and low for that book and have even got my relatives looking with never a nibble

I don't mind at all, it was a weird fluke that I even went in there. As I said on the charity shop thread I don't really rate the Oxfam bookshop that highly and I go in there once in a blue moon.

But I happened to be in the area (it's at the top end of town, a 10 minute walk from work) and had some time on my hands, so....

I was pretty convinced that they researched prices carefully in there and checked for any hidden gems, but either I was wrong or this one slipped through the net.

I sold a couple over the weekend, borderline ones so used FFM's frugal posting method they did look very neat actually with the brown tape neatly around the edges.
I am not a pro anymore as sales really slowed and I have had other fish to fry as well so not been buying any,but I had my 668 listings end the other week nightmare,am still listing 25 a day so they dont all finish at the same time again.
Still my favourite thread read all your postings every day.

Came home from work to 2 decent £10+ sales having had nothing since 5th so thats made my day.

One was a book I got in an Oxfam bookshop, like you Fay don't normally bother but had some time when waiting for dental appt  so had a browse to take my mind off.... Saw a counselling book I knew would sell, bought it for £1.75 and though its got highlighting it still went for £10 so maybe I'll have another look next time I'm up that way.

Hope everyone has a good week selling...

Can't find the thread about books that sell well on Amazon (or something similar!)

Anyway just sold a copy of Freakenomics within a few hours of listing, bought for 50p on Sunday.

I did'nt expect it to sell so soon, having just read some sections it does seem quiet interesting especially the section about parenting, not sure if anyone has read it?

"The other way to approach this is to match the price of the lowest book, if you go even lower the competitor will see in his OPEN LISTINGS that he isn't the lowest priced any more and the knee jerk reaction is for him to undercut you and then it will spiral downwards with you both getting less and less for your book. Also there are some of the big sellers that use a software programme to reduce the price of their book as soon as they are not the lowest price listing."

Interesting. So... If I want a pricey book, might be worth advertising the same for a penny!!
