Selling your Stuff on Amazon Part 10 - Discussion Thread

Thanks for your comments guys.
I have decided to take it on the chin and relist them when I can. I didn't realise you could do it from the closed listings page - that will be much quicker than doing them from the individual e-mails so that has made me feel a bit better.
I shall tackle a few every day - maybe set myself a target of 50 a day then it will be done over a few weeks. Of course this does mean I can check prices etc and it will also mean I don't have another 1500 e-mail day!!!!!
wish me luck

Good luck Annie
Based on your experience I can't see me dropping the pro subscription unless I decide to give up for good. Good for you for persevering.

quick question if I may - if I put things on to holdiay settings while we move - does my pro sellers fee get "suspended" too or do I have to continue to pay for the time I am not actively selling? Prolly realistically about 2 weeks for packing up and unpacking the other end etc etc. but I could do it faster I suppose if the fee was still running!

Unfortunately as far as I read it your payments are not suspended when you go on to holiday settings. I've had my settings on holiday quite a few times and my biiling date has never budged from the 9th of the month.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes I think Soolin is right on this, but what you could do is download your 'open listings' before cancelling your membership, then when you are ready subscribe again and do an 'upload'.

Great advice as ever, FFM:T
I always try to wrap in a similar way to your advice in your next post, and it is worth the time taken:j .
My only problem is with putting the stamped books in the postbox direct as I always like a Proof of Posting receipt 'just in case'. Sometimes, even with all the time spent in wrapping the book as cost-effectively as possible it's still just about borderline and fails the 'slot test' with a jobsworth Post Office counter assistant:mad:0 -

I go through phases of getting proof of posting and not bothering. I've been very lucky and not had many books go missing.
Another method I use (when going through less blasé periods), is to continue to put the stamps on myself (no - not on me), and to fill in the cards called 'Certificate of Posting' - available free of charge from any post office (form reference P326 PAD November 02). The staff sometimes just count the number of packets, sometimes they check the addresses, they have never checked the stamps etc.
Perhaps another way to try?

Thanks both - I will probably do as FFM suggests then I dont have to panic, especially as the place we are moving to has less storage! Give me time to sort them out and get the 'puter network set up etc
many thanks to all for inspiration and helpfulness btw. Had a really horrid virus thingy for over 2 weeks now and just about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now so hopefully back and fully functioning next week.0 -
Good luck with the move, hope you feel 100% soon.

Hi all
Aren't the emails from Amazon regarding the close of a listing misleading.
I have just logged on and found about 30 of them. At first I thought they were sales!!!!!!!! How disappointing - I thought my luck had changed. LOL
