  • Hi Soolin,

I think I am like yourself and prefer to list the condition of my books as acurately as I can with all their blemishes. But I would rather do that than have bad feedback and I must admit I don't think it makes my sales suffer - although at least I know where the selling fairy has got to now ;)

On another note I ordered 3 DVDs (all top sellers) from Amazon proper last Monday and although delivery was supposed to be yesterday (1 week after order) they still haven't turned up. If we Marketplace sellers gave a service like that we would soon be out of busines - how do they get away with it?
The really annoying thing is that our girls are both away on trips for the first couple of days this week and I was hoping to watch a couple of films with OH and have a couple of snuggly evenings in front of the TV - so many thanks Amazon

Does anyone know if Amazon are still using Royal Mail or have they now changed their delivery service as announced a while ago on the news?

    Hello all,

Trying not to faint here as I've just sold a book through GM!

But picture me, squinting at it, thinking 'I haven't seen that one in a while...'

Is there a quick way to find out if I've sold it on Amazon already and forgotten to take it off GM? It's not on recent closed listings.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • Can anyone tell me where to find the Amazon forum, I have been in through my seller account but can't see it?

Maybe I just need my eyes testing.

    Thanks

  • Hi Eager_Elephant - great name

If you go into your seller account home page and look in the top left hand corner click on Seller Discussion Boards and on the next page click on Seller Connection.

    Good luck

  • Thanks for that info Boston_Uk.

The Royal Mail postie has just called with my Amazon delivery. :j

It has come via TNT! I had an email from Amazon on 16th saying it had been despatched and should be with me on the 20th - so that system doesn't work then!!

Anyway, at least I can watch a film with OH tonight before one of the girls return tomorrow.

Easiest to go to your open listings and do a search I should think

Not necessary ;) I have less than a page of open listings and it's not there.

    Either:

    1. I've sold it on Amazon
    2. It's lapsed and I forgot to relist it.

I'll find out tonight when I look in my garage to see if it's there - but it would set my mind at rest for now to know I HADN'T sold it - seeing as today I found out I'd misaddressed a £30 book I posted 10 days ago!

  • I am off on a weeks break tomorrow. I set my vacations settings on Sunday evening., but my books are still showing. I thought the settings would have set in by now!

    Any one had this problem?

This happened to me in June, but I didn't know about it until I got back. Fortunately my only buyer (the holiday settings did eventually kick in) was Dutch, and in his words was 'OK, I am cool', so he got his book 2 weeks late.

Which doesn't help you, except to let you know that it does sometimes take longer than the 36 hours they recommend.
