I just posted a book to a greenmet buyer, and noticed that the funds are 'uncleared' - i hope i don't get skanked!
Hi tsharp, thats just a GreenMet thing nothing to worry about. GreenMet payments clear 7 days after you click to say the book has been sent. If you go into your account it should have something to that effect...0 -
Question: A certain Awesome seller keeps appearing at the top of the list, when i am listing, sometimes even when there are 50 books all at the same 1p price, so how come they keep being shunted to the top of the queue?
Do they simply relist their stock all the time and thus get their 'turn' at the top?
I find that particular 'awesome' seller very annoying as they page hog all the time and then undercut by 1p which i refuse to join in with as it just causes the price to spiral down. They are just lising multiple copies with identical listings which you are not supposed to do. You can report them to Amazon which I've done a couple of times when I got really exasperated but in my experience Amazon do an autoreply but don't remove the listings :eek:0 -
Problem.........buyer has left feedback 3/5 'fast delivery' can i contact them to ask if problem, if there is not can they rerate the feedback upwards? Or is it too late to change?
Newboy
Yes you can contact them and ask them to remove the feedback. Best to be very polite, they may not realise that 3/5 is a neutral. If you explain you are a new seller and it could really affect your feedback and you get the impression they were pleased with the service might they consider removing it..... etc
Good luck

Received the following e-mail from Amazon about my sellers account:
Greetings from Amazon.co.uk,
We are pleased to see that Amazon.co.uk has proved to be a strong selling avenue
for you. However, we have recently noticed that a significant number of buyers
have had problems with and/or filed complaints regarding your handling of their
orders. To evaluate these performance concerns, and to ensure that all parties
have the best experience on Amazon.co.uk, we will be reviewing your seller
account.
During our evaluation, your funds will be reserved in your Amazon Payments
account. This can take up to 30 days, but improved performance can make it
significantly shorter. If our evaluation reveals violations of the
participation agreement, further restrictions may be imposed.
Although we are temporarily reserving the funds in your seller account, we will
continue to accept orders for items you list for sale on Amazon.co.uk. Once
your funds have been released, you will be able to transfer them to your bank
account (this process generally takes 6-10 working days).
Please note that the "Transfer funds to bank account now" link will be visible
in your Amazon.co.uk seller account, but will not actually succeed in
transferring any funds until we have completed our review.
Please contact us at merchant-review@amazon.co.uk with any questions. Again,
thank you for selling on Amazon.co.uk.
Best regards,
Merchant and Item Quality

Clearly states that they are reviewing my account and that my funds will be released in 30 days. Fair enough.
30 days have just passed and they have sent me another e-mail saying that as a result of the review they are locking my account due to poor performance (which doesn't make any sense as I have 100% positive feedback) and that they are now holding the funds for another 90 days. 3 months!
I've tried to appeal without success. There is nearly £1000 in my Amazon account which I need to withdraw, anyone have any advice?
Thanks0 -

Sorry, I pressed thank instead of quote -
Are you aware of any customers having problems with your service? have you posted on the sellers connection board? there might be someone there with more experience of this kind of thing0 -

What this means usually is that you don't have much of a track record of selling on amazon and until they receive feedback from customers stating everything was ok they won't release your funds as a method of scam protection.
You have 2 options really, contact your customers and ask them to leave feedback, as I imagine only a very small percent have left feedback so far for you.
Contact amazon and provide them with tracking info to prove items have been delivered, if you sent via a method that doesn't provide tracking this option isn't helpful.
Make sure that all recent orders have been sent out, because if you recieve any negative feedback at this stage it will further delay you getting your money.
hope that helps and you get this resolved quickly.Do You Twitter?

Hi,
Just thought I drop a quick line to thank everyone involved in this thread. As an Amazon newbie it's given me a good understanding of what I need to do, how to judge prices correctly, etc.
The result?
Well I started listing yesterday and had my first sale within 2 hours - hopefully this will continue and I can start my journey towards being debt free!
