Careful! A cheque is going going to be easy if he can send it in GB£ or if your bank won't charge extra for paying in euro's!

I still think the easiest will be to relist with international as an option, that way you are also covered by the a-z guarantee, sending it to a different address to that supplied by amazon will invalidate any protection you may have.

Hi there Rare, I'm not worried by a cheque for this - the book has already been paid for so I can't see an amazon problem, it's only a little top-up and every Irish ebay buyer that I come across that doesn't use Paypal seems to have sterling cheques, 2 accounts I expect.

ah! my sales are rubbish again - 2 weeks with no sales - I can't believe how bad it's been since Easter, about 80 items on there at the moment and 1 sale a fortnight if lucky - used to get 3 a fortnight with this many items - how is it relating to others?

(and if the sales fairy would like to visit me just before my olympic challenge ends I'd be very grateful :A)

I've had a great week...7 sales, 1 a day, and thats after some dreadful feedback. Its made me feel better. I also have had 2 more 5 out of 5 feedbacks since, so I'm feeling a lot better.

Assuming you're correct about a cheque being sent in £GB, my main concern is in relation to seller protection. It is maybe a bit far fetched for books etc, especially if they are low value, but it is a guaranteed way of the customer invalidating any form of seller protection. Basically getting them to send to another address to that on the order, even if the request comes through amazons system would invalidate even the protection of sending an item by a trackable system. Afterall, you wouldn't recommend an ebay seller to send to a different address to that provided by paypal?

Maybe unduly paranoid, but sellers should be wary of this sort of thing, especially on higher value items.

Thing is though, there is no longer any real protection for sellers on Amazon anyway. If you have not used a trackable system (not sure if recorded counts as it is not 'trackable' unless received) then Amazon no longer foot the bill if the customer puts in an A-Z claim.

So long as you have a RM proof of postage you can claim from RM if the buyer claims non-receipt.

    Hi

I am a newbie to Amazon selling, been giving my books away to the charity shops for years. I am looking to buy or acquire some more books to sell, what are the best places to find them? What is or who are Priority Books?

Many thanks in advance for your replies. :T

    Hi jocarmom !!

Priority books are a seller on amazon who sell bulk lots of books, a few of us here have bought from them with great success (i am NOT one of them ;)) you can find more on the amazon seller discussion boards, and im sure some helpful soul with more time than me will give you a link ,

In personally buy 60% of my books from a local charity shop at 10-30p a time,

    welcome to the thread :)

Sales still oddly slow but when i do get a sale its for a nice sum so not too worried, hows everyone else doing ?? Nearly had to use the stock as sandbags last night and im sure noah was filling up down the road !!

Question: A certain Awesome seller keeps appearing at the top of the list, when i am listing, sometimes even when there are 50 books all at the same 1p price, so how come they keep being shunted to the top of the queue?

Do they simply relist their stock all the time and thus get their 'turn' at the top?
