    Rare Stuff,

Thanks for that explanation, very helpful.

What about proof of postage? How is that dealt with, within this system.

We had a mail delivery as usual today so is it just the sorting office workers on strike? Whats happening with everyone else?

We had one too, teapot:j . Couldn't believe it as the postman was here at 11.15 and normally he isn't here until 2.30 as it's a very rural area:confused: .

Since using PPI I have only had a couple of very low value items go missing so have not bothered to make a claim.

When I asked about this RM said they would accept my completed postal cheque for that days post, proof of order & value, and something from customer stating it hadn't been delivered and would compensate accordingly. I seem to lose far fewer packets that I did when I used the post office counter to send mail. I still send high value items by special delivery though!

    Nice sale!

On the subject of the strike, only Royal Mail delivery persons were on strike, the post office is a completely different organisation (almost). There has been some reports of mail being delivered/ collected this will be due to some strike breaking posties working and management getting off their fat behinds and doing a job for a change!

Newboy, were those sales part of a bulk purchase?

I went to look around an auction today, saw some book lots that might have been worth a look into....
