Just mooching and saw you pop up.

Sorry to hear about the bad day. Let's hope tomorrow is better. Well done on finding change in the tumbledryer. I found £3.50 under the cushions of the sofa where DH sits a few months back and pocketed it for debt. I felt bad until I thought of all the driving I do ferrying him about as he doesn't drive. I would have a look, you never know.;)

£7 per day sounds like an achievable amount. Good luck with the comping.

Good news on today's payment won £10 on scratch card so transferred that over to overdraft.

  • Good afternoon all, little dribs and drabs are the order of the week due to not many coffers until payday next week. I have a bit of money to buy food but also need to get ds a birthday present for the weekend! It might have to be lots of little cheap things for now but I have got a cake topper for his homemade birthday cake.

I have been paid a bit for mileage for second job but need to keep that in the account, I have however transferred £8 to tidy up the balance and yesterday I sold an old school jumper for £1.

    August payments £20.90 / £210

Hopefully receiving a repayment tomorrow back into overdraft which will be another little boost.

  • A letter in the post for dh has changed the finances yet again, apparently some people in the company have made a huge fuss about the change of pay date that they've delayed the date of change until May 2015. So after sorting all that out we don't need to worry about that extra payment just yet.

Therefore in light of needing some funds I have transferred the money back into the current account to pay for food and ds birthday present, dh will get a bonus next April so this will pay for May's mortgage payment.

I did get the refund into overdraft and then had to tidy up the left over pennies so this is now back to -£900, pleased with this and will be able to put a lump sum on this next week.

    August payments now £50 / £210.

Have a rare day with dh tomorrow, my parents are taking the kids to a safari park so we are off to run around Llyn Alwen, 7 miles of beautiful Welsh country side looking forward to some time for us!

We tend to holiday in snowdonia and DH used to make me walk up mountains. I've managed to get out of it since being pregnant and having the little one. I just need to program him now not to want to walk up mountains. I'm too old and round for all that.

Probably going to have nightmares about the cnight now.

  • Hi all,

Well Monday saw me back working a few days, not enjoying being away from the kids again as they are so lovely.

Had a fantastic run last week with my dh and my running has continued to improve which is great. Whilst spending time with dh we chatted about our future plans and we realised that all the activities and trips that we want to do with the kids need sorting and organising now rather than waiting until we have saved a deposit, moved house and all that malarky.

Therefore we realised that we would be missing the few years of their lives where they actually needed the experiences and opportunities, so it naturally came together that we would put off moving, continue to do up the house but in the way we want it, and start putting together our plans for fun and excitement. :D

Obviously I am aware that we still have lots of debt to pay off and I am still keeping to these plans too, pay day this week so I can throw some more pennies at the overdraft.

Feeling a bit better about our journey now, just need to remain focussed on clearing the debt whilst enjoying ourselves.

  • A good few days, payday has been and gone and with that early pay for my second job and dh job so able to make a payment earlier than expected. I transferred £200 over to overdraft so this is now at £700 obviously the charges will be added on soon which will take it slighty up again.

So payments for August now stands at £250/£210 which takes me over my target!

Still waiting for 1poll payment which wil also be added.

Last of school items brought for the kids and had some vouchers for their shoes which saved me 15%, they are all ready to go back next week.

I am savouring my last few days with them as the next few months are going to be really busy, I have agreed with my dh that when he returns from Scotland after doing his marathon in October that I need to go and see my best friend back home so we have a nice couple of days with her.

I need to sit down tomorrow and properly write out the accounts so we don't spend too much over the month.

    Enjoy the bank holiday.

  • Good morning, 1poll payment in this morning and duely transferred to overdraft bringing the balance down to £660 and payments for the month £290! Very pleased with this, not sure there will be anything else to add for the month and then next months payments will be mostly towards the end again, although saying that I've just realised that my mileage payments have been authorised but still not paid.

I didn't get a chance yesterday to sit and write out accounts so must do later on today, off out in a bit to walk along the prom.

Quote for door has come in at £912, just organising fitting date and need to collect cheque for deposit from my Mum.

All well at the minute, still a bit of admin to do before I go back to work properly next Wednesday.
