Because all they have is your words (from a website that you can't even remember) about this, and no EVIDENCE to counter the advice posted. (And the advice posted WAS supported with evidence).
And yes - it IS possible to troll your own thread.0 -

So im adament, theyre adament, i havent posted evidence, they havent posted evidence, im a troll, theyre not? That confuses me.0 -
I've seen several items of evidence in this thread - from other people. (Website links to employment legislation, etc.).
All YOU have offered are vague words that says (paraphrased) that "the employer can do what they want and get away with it, and there's naff all anyone can do about it". And you have offered NO evidence to support where that view came from (other than "I read it on a website somewhere, and can't remember where that was"). And you wonder why people question your point of view?0 -

Assumption is the mother of all fuc...anyway you get the idea. Maybe i can rmemebr the website mayb i cant. But and this is a big but, why why why would i need to post it to justify my self on my own thread? I found it. Read it. Got a bit dissapointed. Drunk tea and moved on. Then get accused of being a troll on here cos i tell a different story to those on here. No one has great credentials thats put this outta sight. Or evidence that conclusively closes it. But crack on. No odds to me aint gonna change nuffink.0 -

Thought I might chip in.
I expect everyone including OP is conversant with the concept of a contract. As an employee, you have a contact of employment that may allow employer to deduct more than the statutory deductions from your salary.
I understand that Ryanair staff have their uniforms for example deducted from salary and army officers have mess fees and fines taken at source too.
Your contract will spell out exactly what may or may not be deducted. The company may not in law apply any non statutory deduction that is not in the contract.
Should they do so, you are entitled to point this out and demand that it be reinstated. Ultimately you can seek rectification through your trade union, if you have one or employment tribunal or similar.
You are in the best position to judge what is the best way to bring their error to the company's attention.
If you have had advice that is contrary to this, please feel free to act on it. It is of no direct consequence to anyone here who tried to help and you are perfectly entitled to believe whatever you choose.
Now regulars, time to help some people who deserve it and leave our friend to argue with himself a bit more?0 -
