I have just joined the forum and am looking for some advice re flight compensation, I have been delayed on a number of flights with JET 2 but do not know dates, flight details as these were some years ago. I would appreciate any ideas how to get this info from JET 2 or any other means0

also have a read of the Jet2 thread and don't think this will be simple...my Jet2 claim goes back to 2010 and has been with a NWNF for over 2 years with no sign of any payment0 -

At the minimum you will need to know where you flew to and when in order to pursue any claim. If you can't establish those basic facts then your claim isn't going to go anywhere.0 -
I lodged a EU small claim against a German airline for a delay and got EUR600 per passenger after more than two years.
Do not give up!0 -
Thanks to Vauban for his (?) monumental patience. To add a few words to set you off, gather your fellow passengers around you and establish where you went and when. You have to do this yourself. When you have read Vauban's guide, you will know about Flightstats, so then use it and calculate how long was the delay, and if you are entitled to any compensation. If you think you are, start the ball rolling.0

This was a reply to Phil E but seems to have wandered a bit!0

Hi,
In this situation, we're both Freelancers, as opposed to being "Employees" as such.
The organisation we work through had co-ordinated the training with a similar organisation who were hosting the event and had invited some of our team to attend.
So once we completed the final day of the training, our "work" there was done.
The flight was the morning after the course had finished.0 -
Was delayed for over 24 hours on a Virgin flight from Havana due to weather conditions at Heathrow (snow) where the plane due to collect us was stuck. Hadn’t considered flight delay compensation but am now advised that this might apply as the weather conditions in Havana were perfectly ok for taking off and that it’s the airline’s responsibility to ensure there’s a substitute plane available.
Has anyone else claimed under similar circumstances or could provide some guidance?0 -
Just an update. Received a cheque for the full amount of compensation. Thanks for all the help from this forum.0
