Thank you Caz. I have read it and other info on the Internet, but I have a specific question regarding the fact that they have offered us some compensation, just not the full amount. I am inclined to reject and quote the legalities and push the full 600 euros, but need to know if this could harm our case.

The compensation amount, as detailed in the Regulation, is a statutory, non negotiable, amount.
No reason at all to accept the amount offered, and no, it won't harm your chances/case to decline and proceed to court, - after giving them 14 days notice that that is what you will do if they don't settle, in full, also make it clear that you will be looking to recover costs, plus interest, of the totally unnecessary court action.

Hi I have exhausted all options with the cantankerous Jet2 and am now going to take them through the small claims system - I just wondered if anyone knew if I need to submit separate claims for myself and my boyfriend or can I do it on one application? Jet 2 insist on having separate letters from us every time we write! But then again they are massively obstructive so they would wouldn't they?! Any advice gratefully received thanks

Hi Kribey, please post on Jet2 thread in future - you may get more help from the Jet2 mafioso.
You can put both people on your small claims submission, BUT you must use form N1 (paper) not online submission to allow multiple claimants.
And make sure you put all the claimants details in the relevant sections. Going to court circumvents jet2s pathetic procrastination and futile delay attempts.
Have you put up details of your claim? People will be only too glad to help and offer advice.
    Have you sent your NBA?

  • I booked a package holiday with Thos Cook to Turkey but flew with Monarch, the flight was delayed by 15 hours due to technical fault. I have received an email from Thos Cook advising me to contact Monarch as they were the carrier. I thought that my contract is with Thos Cook, who do I claim from ?
