Re: Flight MON313 Cardiff to Sanford on 18th September 2008
Our records show that the aircraft scheduled to operate your flight suffered an engine fault...
Is this the end of the road for me now or is there grounds to claim??
If so, what do i do next?
You should post in the Monarch section really Simon.
You have been fobbed off that a tech issue is an EC. You'll have to go to court to get your compensation.0 -

Hi,
In 2009 ,my wife was delayed on an outgoing flight from Manchester to Bodrum for over 6 hours. The flight was with a Turkish Airline called Saga Airlines who no longer fly in this Country.
The flight was actually booked through Late deals.co.uk, Newcastle who are part of the TUI group.
Does anybody know if she can make a complaint in this instant and if it can be directed via Late Deals ? as that is the company who she bought the flight from and made the payment to. I would expect the delay was the fault of Saga as they appeared to be incompetent, as she actually had a 1 & 1/2 hour delay coming back and that was down to the fact that the plane could not link up to the walkway tunnels and had to wait out on thet armac for steps to be taken out, the first set that did not fit to the plane correctly.0 -

As per the FAQs the claim is against the airline, so you need to write to Saga Airlines0 -
Can anyone advise me? In October 2009 our flight from Doncaster Airport was turned around half way into our journey to Kos and sent back to Manchester Airport because of a fault with the landing equipment and poor visibility meant the plane couldn't be landed by eye in Kos. We returned to board a plane which wasn't faulty and the delay in arriving at our destination was around 9 hours.
The problem is, I can't remember the airline we used and don't have the flight number. Does anyone have any idea where I could get this information?
Thanks in advance.

Do you know the date you travelled? If so, you should be able to find out on Flightstats.com.0

Hi,
Does anyone know of any other sites than Flightstats to ascertain if flights have been delayed. I travel between 4- 6 times a year to Turkey and have kept my invoices going back 6 years. When I check the flight details on Flightstats for the majority of them it does not find especially with Onur air. Some it brings up the flight but states that it took off and landed at incorrect times, ie night flight, not a day flight, not as per the schedule, which is incorrect again. I do know that several flights I have taken over the six years have been delayed.0
