Compensation for delayed flights Discussion Area

Had a flight cancellation on June 16th. TUI from birmingham to fuerteventura.

Runway was initially closed for 3 hours (1-4pm) cos of an emergency landing

Flight was supposed to be 3.40pm, called for boarding at 8pm, first bus left with passengers to board before being sent back. Flight eventually cancelled by 9pm cos of crew hours.
Plenty of other airlines were delayed and flew out after runway reopened, all but TUI
TUI have initailly said exceptional circumstances, but I dont believe it. They had plenty of time for sorting crew hours.

Do I stand a fighting chance?

Euclaim says exceptional circumstance, bottonline doesn’t list replacement flight the following day

Does it say what circumstances. They was told a plane was coming from somewhere else for them . Still sat for 13 hours

Were not talking about the following day your flight details are for the flight that was canceled. What were those details
