EuClaim says you are not due compensation. Put your flight details into bottonline and see what they say.0

The arbitrary "scheduled"arrival time or a realistic "real-world" arrival time?
Scheduled time counts...
Flightaware shows gate departure (pushback) 00:33 and a take off time of 00:47. Landing time shows as 01:15 and gate arrival at 01:19
To calculate the delay time you need to compare the scheduled time of arrival 21:35 to the doors opening time which I suspect will still be under the time. The claims checkers seem to believe no compensation due as under 3 hours delay0 -

The difference between the scheduled arrival time and the time doors opened. If that difference is 3 hours or more, you are entitled to compensation (unless the airline can prove extraordinary circumstances obtained).0 -
The time of arrival is as the doors open. This can be very difficult to prove until it gets to court.
some websites will show this time or at least the gate arrival time, but you usually have to pay for it.
You have realised, that since regulation 261/2004 had, to some limited extent, be taken seriously by the airlines, flight times have mysteriously increased by some margin. An obvious move by the airlines to reduce compensation claims, such as yours, where the timing is tight. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I was delayed by 3 hours earlier this year leaving Newcastle for Dubai with Emirates and arrived 9 hours late in Bangkok. The circumstances seem to fit the requirements for compensation. The only unknown is the cause of the delay. We weren!!!8217;t given any information whatsoever by Emirates although anecdotally we heard that the inbound aircraft to Newcastle had had to return to Dubai because of a technical fault. My concern is that Emirates could choose the reason for delay and will choose something out of their control. I complained using Emirates own complaints system and they said it was outside of their control and inferred that it was a safety issue and offered no compensation. I used Resolver and escalated all the way up to the CAA but didn!!!8217;t receive any replies. Only when I went to the CAA did they reply and tell me that Emirates don!!!8217;t respond to Resolver. The CAA are now investigating0

put your flight details into a couple of the nwnf flight checkers - Bottonline / EUClaim to see whether they believe there is a valid claim0

I just wanted to post an update on my case. I sent Iberia a NBA letter and this morning received €2000 euros into my account. A great Christmas present indeed. Thank you for the advise given here.
Merry Christmas
Have similar issue. My family (2 & 3 kids) booked IB LHR to MAD then IB MAD to SCL. They cancelled the London to Madrid flight 4 Hrs before take off. I was booked on a flight (BA LHR direct to SCL) 24 hrs later.
Have tried emails and Resolver to get through to no avail. No explanation just stonewalling. Wanted yr advice on how you got through and what method (Court action or NWNF).
Thanks to all who contribute in the forums. Power to the People!0 -
Hi Zufre,
Summershere11 hasn't been on the site since 2017, so I doubt you'll receive a reply. Have you put your flight details into one or two online flight delay calculators to see if they believe you have a valid claim?
You could try social media to pester IB plus have a read of Vaubans great guide and then issue an LBA. They are not members of an ADR scheme so it's DIY or NWNF for a % of your compensation.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
We are due to fly to Tblisi with Georgian Airways but they have contacted us to say that they have cancelled the return flight and have offered us seats on flights 2 days earlier or 2 days later. Is that the limit of their obligations to us? Do they have any obligation to send us back to the UK on another airline on the date we originally booked or for them to pay for accommodation for the extra nights in Tblisi?
So far their customer service has been none existent and they have not replied to our emails neither have we found anyone to talk to who can answer our questions.0 -
Georgian Airways is not a community carrier so EU261 applies only on your outbound flight.0
