:hello: Morning all! And a special welcome to all the newbies:D
Well it's still very dull, and a bit cool here in London, but *they* tell me it won't rain so my washing line will soon be groaning under the weight of laundry!
Still making progress, but a bit slowly, with the garden. It really is beginning to look more like I always used to keep it. I can't believe I let it get so bad:o It's such a lift to see it return to its former glory;)
I have to go shopping today for a birthday gift for my Dsis-in-law. Haven't a clue what to get her, but it needs to be special, 'cos she's just lovely:D
(((((((scuzz))))))) wish your situation was better. Listen to your instincts;) Hope the boss does have good news, for you not him!:D
Going to get off since I'm still not showered or hair-washed and I need to look my best to hit the shops:rotfl:
Have a good day,
CMx
Forgot to say DH is STILL rebuilding his shed. He's finally conceded it would have been quicker to replace it! But as he says, this way is more moneysaving, and if he'd replaced he'd have had to empty it first:eek: :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Morning
Off in a min to drop kids off at school, DS has trip to the Woolwich Ferry & Old Station - I will be coating the front fence with a dollop of fence treatment (exciting!) Did the back fence yesterday and painted the wall - that progressed onto a garden ornament of an Old English Sheepdog (I used to have one, now dearly departed) it was looking weary so have painted it white and will now add the black bits and paint a pink tongue!! so far its looking good! (rolf harris eat yr heart out!:rotfl: )
Scuzz - Funny I tried to post last nite and was gonna ask how things were with BF, youvebeen given some good advice already on here, dont make yourself ill, please, but DO listen to your gut instincts!!!
tinkerbelluk - loved the pics of HRH! but where are you in the pics?? hows things goingwith OH now?
taplady - Welldone on the weight loss!!!
must dash.....have a good day!0 -
Good Morning All
Its dull here, hope it brightens up later
n9eav - Good luck with selling your boat.
pen-pen - great buy's with the charity shop!
catowen - hows your friend's DD? Is she still staying with you!
(((hugs))) to scuzz. I think what the majority of people have said is right. You do need to take time out on this one! Try being an outsider looking in! Perhaps you'll see things in a different light. And let him do the running!
Welcome to the newbies - we've had a few recently!
Got about another 2 loads of washing to catch up with, will do that after work!
I listed OH's old mobile phone on ebay last night, (as he's had an upgrade)within minutes, it sold! The buyer is registered in UK, he has kept his feedback private, so I cant see any recent sale/buy's he's had. I would have thought with a sale so quick, he would have paid just as quick, but no! I will monitor the situation and see how it goes, he has 7days!
Not much else to say (for a change)
Have a great day all
Take care
Love Emma xxxHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Good morning fellow OSers!
N9eav Good luckwith selling your boat
Welcome to Wardi
Newster - I agree with you about having a rpoductive agrden, and last year spent my birthday money on a fan-trained victoria plum, an edible cherry tree, a thornless bramble, three backcurrant bushes, three blueberry bushes and two special strawberry pots full of strawbs. I also bought some raspberry canes but they failed. I already have rhubarb planted. I later pruchased a step-over apple tree. Part of my being not well is it's important to avoid sun exposure, so these are all things which look after themselves. I can recommend this approach to gardening!!
Today is personal maintenance day - dentist followed by optician. My dearest friend's birthday was yesterday, so she, her husband and another good friend are coming for lunch tomorrow. The menu will be melon, kedgeree and salad and then fresh fruit salad. So today I'll also need to food shop.
Scuzz, I can only echo what everyone else has already said. You deserve to be treated so much better than this. Let him go and trust that the Universe has someone much better in mind for you! My ex OH was distant and withholding with me, but he's now in a relationship where he's really contented - 26 years of trying on my part just didn't make it right for us (yes, I know, perseverance did not pay off!!! - believe me if I had the time again I'd not have persevered for so long - could have saved myself years of unhappiness!! ((( ))) to you.
have a good day everyone
Hugs
GQ xxxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

I am getting the house sorted and decluttered because we are going to get two lodgers in a couple of weeks. It is in a terrible state and I cannot get myself together to get on with it!:o
One of the hardest things is to decide to chuck stuff. Will I keep it, will I need it as soon as I get rid of it? I start off with good intentions, but I get bogged down.
We did a boot sale last Sunday with the first round of throw outs, DH says he won't do another!
I think someone's but superglue on this chair as I can't seem to get off it. Oh woe, oh woe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Morning all I hope you're all well?
I'm shattered, I was at school until nearly 10pm last night trying to decide whether or not it was appropriate to expel a boy - it's hard being a governor sometimes you have a lot of pressure from the school to do one thing but you have to keep the child's best interest at heart. In the end had to adjourn so will need to go through the whole thing again, but as long as we make the right decision it's worth it.
mrs mix - I hope your joints feel better soon, must be miserable
scuzz - I hope your boss's news is good enough to pick you up (hugs)
charlies mum - yes how exciting was that, will not write more but so want to chat about it!!
dlb - bargainacious, well done on the meat deals sounds legendary!
taplady - congrats on your weight loss, you must be very determined, well done!
wardi - welcome! I'm new too - everyone is lovely!
essex girl ((((hugs))))
herby - you've really made me giggle with your jam jelly story though I have to admit I had almost expected the climax to be that you'd eaten some sort of refrigerated bath product from Lush so you didn't do quite so badly as you might have!!! When very delusional with flu, I once mixed up a bottle of bath foam and a bottle of water in the middle of the night, took a big slug of the bath foam- not good :rotfl:
goatie - good luck with the optician and dentist (shudder) sounds like a very virtuous day!
Right, should get on with some work I suppose, I hope everyone has a good morning. Hugs to those who need them xxxx0 -
Morning all
Not had time to read all the other posts yet but I will go back and read in a min !!
Wheather not looking good here and my day is off to a bad start already - I thik I have been hit by some hormones today and have already broken 3 plates/dishes by throwing them into the sink. Also managed to scream at DH before he left for work and scream at the kids and make them cry - all before 9.30 too
I just want to go and curl up in a dark corner and cry.
Got loads to do to so really need to pull myself together - today is payday so have to get sorted.
Hope you all have good days

Morning all, overcast cast here, but never mind, its a good thing really, I must tackle the housework today, its looking like a bomb has dropped!
Welcome to Wardi, and huge hugs to Scuzz (men eh?, follow your head and not your heart, its difficult I know, but in the long term its better to follow your head).:grouphug: Well done to Taplady on the weight loss.
Well the kettle has just boiled, I'll just have a gallon of coffee and then crack on. Must tackle mount Everest today, my OH is going away tomorrow for a "bonding weekend with his friends" - thats a knees up to me and you, and he needs a couple of shirts ironing. I think me and my DD will sit in PJ's on Saturday and watch the entire first series of "Little house on the Pairie" with a large bar of chocolate and a box of tissues, my DD loves it.
Hugs to anyone feeling unwell, or a wee bit low/fed up this morning, take care

Good morning :j
(((((hugs)))))) Scuzz - don't really know what to add, I think everyone has summed it up already (and much better than I could) - but please don't make yourself ill.
Another day at work  , but at least it keeps the wolves from the door
My shopping is being delivered tonight - so we should have nice stocked cupboards. Dinner tonight will be sausage and pasta bake.
I'm starting to get the belly wobbles - I'm just so excited about going to see George Michael at Wembley on Saturday (Gold Circle tickets :j :j :j ) definately NOT money saving - they cost a fortune  But I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve :rotfl:
Ironing really does need getting on with when I get home - I must stop putting it off
(((((hugs))))) to everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
morning :j
Last day at work today(well last afternoon, go in at 1pm, finish at 4pm)
Got an interview this morn for another job, at 11.30am, but not sure if I wana do it, as its through an agency, and there seems to be alot of hidden cons, working for a agency, instead of working in a normal job. But I guess if its the only job I can get at mo, I'm gonna have to take it
Suppose I should get on in a min, sitting here in my pjs at mo, and still need to have a shower, iron my clothes and get myself together and over to the place for the interview lol
Went to Tesco last nite to get my fresh items, to stock up my fridge, to start cooking OS. Had a list and planned to spend no more then £20.
Good time of day to go in as on a weds nite in my local Extra store between about 7pm - 8pm they reduce everything down to silly prices got about £30 a veg and bread etc for a £5. They had bags of king edward potatoes reduced from £1.79 to 20p :j
My total bill in the end was £30.22 (that doesnt include all the reduced stuff, the bill would have been way over £60 if I had brought stuff full price), but after discounts, bogofs, and coupons, it brought it down to £13.05 :j So well under my £20 target
HM Lamb stew and mash from the freezer tonite for tea, then gonna spend the evenin listing stuff on ebay.
Hope every1 has a gd day.
