Thursday daily thread 7th June 07

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7/6/7. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone. Nice day by the looks of it...
Bin day today as well, so the first thing I have to do is put the rubbish and recycling out, Make packed lunches and get ready...
I thought I had managed to save a bit of money this month... but ........ Then the kids come to me with requests for activity week at school, uniform orders, 5th year ball, camp etc.... ouch!
Almost sold the boat last night... One of those think about it people...probably never ring back. I still have 2 others coming today, so all hope is not lost.
Well folks have a nice day

Good morning N9eav, and everyone else to follow! Bit overcast here, but hoping it will brighten up later. Want to spend some more time chatting to my veggies.

Had a brilliant charity shopping day yesterday. Got 5 tops (3 brand new) and a pair of 3/4 trousers for £20 - bargain.

Need to do some tidying the house today. The builders finished yesterday, so need to give DS's room (currently empty) a good dust and clean before putting his furniture back. Will also wash the windows and curtains.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Good morning everyone,

I see the fonts/spacing is still playing up!!!

Well, a quieter day for me today, just 2 LOs and one is at nursery this morning, so im hoping to catch up a bit on some HW. The one who isnt at nursery likes to go around with a duster, so that makes it more of a game for her, but useful for me!!!

Its lovely outside, so another load will be on in a bit, also going to strip some of the beds and get that done - maybe even cut the grass, so a lot planned for today (including keeping up with the walking to and from school!)

Right, going to finish my tea and my clicks, then off to check on my tomato plants, def seemed to have worked moving them onto the gravel, no slugs since!

    Have a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

and then the start of buying the new uniforms for september! One of my kids changes school so no savings there!

    Morning everyone
Feeling low again today. Not seen bf in a week. He's had an excuse everyday this week not to see me. Feeling very hurt. I never get any kisses or cuddles or anything.
    Sorry moaning again
Boss wants to see me today - apparently he has good news for me. I'll believe that when I see it.
Off my food at the moment. I just can't face it and now I'm feeling ill through not eating.

Bit overcast here this morning, how come N9eav always has the opposite to us - must be the North / South divide :D It's bound to rain as I watered the lottie last night, and picked my first two strawberries, mind you, the mice had got there first

Did anyone see the apprentice - I was so surprised  but won't say what happened in casde anyone has Sky + it.

Boiled egg for breakfast, not sure what's for dinner until I look in the freezer.

Oh Scuzz :grouphug: I think you seriously need to think about where you are going with your bf. Hope the boss has really good news for you.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Scuzz hugs for you((((((((((((()))))))))))))), i can understand you feeling hurt, you need time for yourself, from what you are telling us this guy really is messing with your head, maybe you should back off for a while and let him know what hes missing out on. Good luck whatever you decided.

    Hi all
Absolutely nothing going on here at chez Hester, I'm back to working 7:30 to 5:30, I tried really hard last night I made a bread pudding while I was making lasagne & cooked them both at the same time to fill the oven up. Apart from that, apart from sorting Thumper, Ogden & the fish out I did very little. Next week I'm looking after next doors cats again, which adds a couple of hours to my day as they have such a complicated feeding system.
Still it looks like another sunny day here in Berkshire. I had some bad news from my lodger, she can't pay her rent for the next 2 weeks as she over spent during half term & doesn't get paid again until 15th June. I can't see her managing to catch up as she will owe me £150 by then, ah well, we'll wait & see. I'll go say a prayer to my personal godess, if not for more money at least for the ability to stretch what I have, lol.
I was hoping to start advertising my new business once I'd got my wages sorted out, but as usual, it's one step forward & 3 back.
    Hugs to all.
    Hester

    Morning all,
Mrs Mix: Know how you feel about the weather! My MS is rotten at the moment!
scuzz: ((((HUGS))))) for you. Don't you worry about bf, that's men for you!:rotfl:
N9eav: Thoughts to you. My DS has just left school, so NO MORE uniform or school trip money for me! and I'm saving myself £32 a month in bus fares too! Still:sad: about it tho! My baby is now going to college, and out into the big world. Those last eleven years have flown, and made me realise how old I am!:rotfl:
Taking him to school this aft for an English exam, then getting my hair cut. Only four weeks till step-son's wedding! DD is coming round this morning to colour my hair, oherwise when it gets cut I'll just be grey!
    Have a good day everyone!

    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
