    - Congrats on your weightloss

    scuzz - Hugs for you.

Well I doubt veryu much my day will be as exciting as yesterday, but what are you going to do

I still haven't got round to starting the ironing yet but the house is now spotless and all my lettuces as rcket is planted :T

I'm not even thinking about the ironing for this evening either as I'm planning to go home mow the law and do the hedges.

Hope everyone is keeping ok and is taking advantage of these lovely summery days we're having, but if not please take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

    Hi everyone.

Have been busy with the grandchildren. They are poppets. The baby is 41\2 months old and really good. She has never been left with anyone before, as my daughter works from home for the firm when she's back in the States, but she is as good as gold. Hardly a fuss, and is ever so content, especially as she is still being breast fed. She will have a little solid stuff at lunch time, and some juice. Also her mum leaves some of her produce as well :-) Her sister, who's just coming up to 3, is georgeous, and quite a character. Has a lovely little American accent which my lot want to "Britishize" lol. She's been very good as well, and loves playing with her aunties.

Talking to the veggies sounds a brillient idea :-) We are growing a few things, not much. We don't have a big garden. I have noticed though we have a lot of wasted space that could be put to use. We have some bushes as well that I'm not keen on. I must admit, if I'm to have bushes, I would rather have one's that produce something, so thinking of putting that in action for next year. We're not natural gardeners. I'm going to have a go at some veggies in containers next year I think, and I so want to grow some herbs, without killing them off!!!!?????? My daughter has just done herself a nice veggie garden, and is enjoying watching the stuff grow. She's a chef, and fancies a chefs veg garden lol.

Today I have a Bible study to go to. I'm making a fried rice tonight for dinner. It's going to be one of those days. Our van is in a garage in a town that's a 15min drive from us. It may need picking up today, so that means I shall have to go with DH (he has a smaller car for his daily use) and pick the van up, which, of course, will be at dinner time (sigh) Then we have to go out to house group this evening, we do the music for house group as well, and I need to practice the songs, although I know them, I haven't played them much before. I can see time running away from me today lol

We are going to put the van up for sale after we've been to Faith Camp. It's a 17 seater, including the drivers seat. It's too big for us now, as we only have 5 non driving children, and my 19yr daughter usually travels with in her boyfriends car. My 16yr old will be starting driving lessons by the end of the year. She's 17 in Sept. So we don't need anything that big anymore, and I'm not a keen driver, and don't drive much. We shall sell both vehicles, and get a larger car, and just run the one.

Anyway. Everyone have a blessed and prosperous day.

    Hugs to all.

    Hi all

First time posting in this thread :T

I am in London with work at the moment so no OS (even though I am new to it and not really into any of it yet) going on at the moment.

Overcast down here, hoping it stays cool as the hotel room I am in is warm with no air con!!! Slept straight through last night which is strange when I am away from home so must have been tired.

Hope everyone has a lovely day and has fun :D

    Enjoy
2010 is the year of bargain shopping! Time to money save, exercise and plan! I like to keep busy :)

    Good Morning All

(((Scuzz))) think you need to go down the 'treat em mean keep em keen' route - hope you get it sorted and you know you need to eat.

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

Overcast and a bit chilly here today, stayed like that all day yesterday so dont think will see any sunshine today.

Bad start to the day - main client promised that money would be in our account today but its not so having to change my plans completely. Once school run is done need to get on the phone to them, then need to go to another town to withdraw cash for the wages. I was going down to see my Nan who I havnt seen in ages but wont have time now (she lives in London) luckily didnt tell her I was going.

Was feeling really positive and now am not but hopefully will feel better in a couple of hours. At least now today can do some cleaning that I wanted to but will now have to go to London tomorrow.

Anyway lets get on - wm loaded, dw unloaded, ds pack lunch made and kitchen cleaned. Will do school run and then chase client, hoover and wash floors. Need to also go to farm shop to stock up on fruit and veg though may put that off till tomorrow.

Will go and get on with it now.

    Have a great day.

    Morning all

Grey and windy here this morning - a nice thick sea fog to set it all off too - so to those of you with sun :p

Scuzz - Sorry to be blunt - and not meaning to offend but why are you wasting time on this bloke? Take a step back and think about what advice you'd be giving a friend if they were in the same situation. You say he shows you no affection? Even friends show affection, I know from what you've said in the past that he's got "issues" - maybe it's high time you left him to deal with them and move on.

Had to take DD2 to the hospital last night to get her knee looked at, thankfully it's not infected although the Dr did say to keep a close eye on it as it's so nasty.... I was told not to cover it with a dressing but to cover it in vaseline - surely that blocks the air getting to it???

DD1 is back from her residential trip tomorrow evening - can't wait - missed her loads....just hope the wind dies down a bit for her ferry crossing - she's not the best traveller.

Todays plans; empty the hoover and wash all washable bits of it, sweep and polish all wooden floors, sort out craft stuff, put 10 ton of junk in the loft, clean kitchen floor. Oh and make something yummy for dinner (opted out last night and got some fresh pasta and sauce on the way back from the hospital)

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

    Good morning all!

Well, it is another overcast, not-terribly-warm day like yesterday. DH informs me summer is supposed to return tomorrow! So maybe it's a good thing I have work today (only about 4 hrs a week, so not too onerous)

I have only skimmed through the previous posts, so not really read them properly, but would just like to say welcome to Wardi, and (((hugs))) to scuzz.

    Have a good day, everyone
More ((((hugs))))) available for those who want or need them!

Morning all and all to follow :)

Sorry I've not been around much the past week, been busy with work and dealing with some stuff going on here. All sorted now and the future looks a little rosier :D I've not had chance to read all the dailies for about a week now so I'm not up to speed with what's been happening so forgive me if I don't give hugs/congrats/commiserations to the correct people, but I'm offering hugs etc to all who need them.

Rather a dull overcast day here in the midlands, weatherman he say rain is due (I watered the garden last night, it would be  ). Did the same as dlb last night and got £20 of meat for £5 all reduced bargains at Asda, 1 large chicken, 16 sausages, pork loins steaks and a huge beef brisket that we cut into 3! Enough meat to feed us for about 15 meals if not more so stocked up the freezer with meat and saved loads of pennies :j

Scuzz - You have to eat something, turning yourself in to a wreck isn't going to help you at all. I've been there with my ex, when we got together he was distant, I thought it was because the relationship was new and he was wary, the longer we were together the situation didn't improve, I loved him more because I thought if I did, one day he would love me to and give me some affection, so I stayed with him, always believeing he'd change tomorrow but it got worse and not better.
He made my life hell, never showed affection, he was cold and mentally and on a rare occasion physically abusive, he took great pleasure in telling me I was useless, a mess, nobody else would want me and I believed him! Finally after 15 years of that I had enough, plucked up the courage to move on and divorce him, my new DH is the complete opposite and loves me to bits, although it took him a while to undo the damage my ex caused, trust issues, not believing someone could love me etc.
My ex decided he loved me after I'd left and said he was mad to have not realised it before, to this day (7 years later) he still contacts me asking if I'd go back to him and plays it to others like he was the one hard done by because I left
I've read in previous posts that you love your BF, but love is a 2 way thing. Some people like to have control and know that if all else fails they have someone waiting in the wings or even a stop gap. Nobody likes to believe that's what they are or that the person their with doesn't really care, so we stay. You're worth more than that hon, go eat, put some glad rags on and show him what he's missing and don't let him make you feel less than you are. It may not hit him now, but when you're long gone and with a guy who totally appreciates you and loves you and brings you breakfast in bed (see below!) he'll be sorry. Look after yourself hon, if you don't he wins, he's not worth the stress and you're worth a hell of a lot more :T

Cooooor I wibbled a bit then, just don't want to see someone make the same mistake I did. I thought I'd share the following story, I was feeling a bit down at weekend, so my adorable DH decided to cheer me up by bringing breakfast in bed, cup of tea and crumpets with jam (which is about the extent of his culinary repertoire :D ).
I tucked in and thought 'this tastes a bit weird' but carried on eating just incase he decided to never do breakie in bed again, he asked me if it was okay? So I told him it was, but what was the jam he'd used (there are several shelves in our fridge, the top one has things like mint sauce on it, the next one has jam, butter etc). DH replied those two small jars off the top shelf, looking all proud waiting for the compliments.
You mean the redcurrant jelly with thyme and the quince & rose petal jelly said I? Yes, he said, after I stopped laughing and informed him that they were condiments to go with savoury meaty food, he asked me where on the packet it said the crumpets can't be served with savoury toppings! Smart asp :rotfl:
He then informed me that it said jelly on the labels so he assumed I'd put the jars on the wrong shelf and walked off muttering that they looked like jam and there's no pleasing some people :rotfl: He even muttered he was being money saving by using the jelly up lol! He gets 10/10 for effort though, I chuckled for the rest of the day so the blues disappeared!

Anyway I've taken up enough of your time good luck selling the boat N9eav, hugs to all that need them and have a good day. I'm off to get some work done now, but will try and pop back later.

    Good morning everyone

Welcome Wardi. Hope you enjoy it here.

scuzz bf may have issues but that really doesn't excuse the way you are being treated. You are making yourself ill because of it. (((hugs))) It may be time to let him go.

(((hugs))) to those who have problems, health or otherwise.

I have a joiner coming round tonight to give me quotes for various jobs. I have a budget in mind so if it comes to more than that I will have to ask him what jobs he is prepared to do for the money I can afford.

W**k today. This is my second job - it's only four hours every Thursday but I am so sick of it right now. For the last two months all I have done is photocopy for the whole time I am there. Can't wait until I get to the end of the files.

After w**k, I have a meeting with the PE co-ordinator at DD's school. I am the Governor responsible for Literacy, Music and PE (anyone who had seen me would laugh at the irony of ME being the PE governor. :rotfl:  ). I also need to do some PTA stuff while I am there - but there's only six weeks of that left. :j

Got lots of housework done yesterday and washing is almost up to date so I only need to think about what I'll be cooking for dinner tonight.

    Have a thrilling Thursday. xx

    Morning All

Just a quick hello, as cannot seem to get going, my get up and go and got up and gone!

    Welcome Newbies

Last night just sat and watched the TV for four hours, and I never do that for more than an hour at a time. I'm also an Apprentice addict. Some of it was surprising, but I agreed with the interviewers. Did manage to read the thread yesterday, but never got to posting.

(((((Hugs)))))) to Pen-Pin, Mrs_Mix, Scuzz, hilstep and everyone else.

Herbaholic/Pooky - I am with you 100%, I was trying to think of a way to say similar to Scuz, but have not been in the same circumstance so was not easy. My version is simple, NO MAN (OR WOMAN IN THE REVERSE PROBLEM) IS WORTH MAKING YOURSELF ILL FOR. I realise you love him and breaking is going to hurt. But the pain will not be any less if you carry on hurting as you are already for weeks/months/years. Please look after yourself, give him the space to sort his issues out himself and not use you as a prop when he feels like it. Sorry if this hurts Scuzz, you may feel I am being cruel, but only in a cruel to be kind type of way, and would not deliberately do that.

Take care all - must get on work is manic.
