Going along a dual carriage way around 65mph and seen a police van which most likely had a camera in the back so quickly reduced my speed hopefully it was enough.
Is the national speed limit still 60 and if you receive a ticket is it points/fine. Hopefully if I was just over 60mph I won't receive a ticket.

Thanks,

Garcon.

If you were in a car the national speed limit on a dual carriageway is 70.

Only if there is a physical divider of some description between opposing lanes, if not then it's 60.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

so is it 70mph as I passed my test in 1991.

If there's no physical divider then it's not a dual carriageway.

What would you think if I said I passed my test in 1965 so I wouldn't know! There were no such things as 70mph limits back then.

You're driving around and you don't know the speed limits - shame on you.

Go and buy the latest copy of both The Highway Code and Know Your Traffic Signs.

Ignorance is no excuse - 12 years 'experience' and you're not sure if things have changed - nah - it's a wind up - surely - hopefully.

The national speed limit doesn't depend on when you passed your driving test, but it does depend on what you're driving.

For dual carriageways, in a car, it's 70.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Google map it and see what the signs say.
