its great that everyone is liking the hobnobs and i think they are quite good for adapting to use some other ingredients
I went to make another batch the other day & after I'd got everything else ready found & hadn't nearly enough oats, so I made the weight up with coconut & they were lovely

not very Hobnobby, but delicious all the same :)

I took some hobnobs (homemade of course;) ) to work for my DB, told him i'd brought hobnobs.........i really can't believe what he said....

'they are not hobnobs they are syrup~chewy biscuits'

so i shouted at him (please bear in mind he is my boss as well as DB:p )

'just because they don't look like the ones you buy in a PACKET doesn't mean they are not hobnobs, this recipe is someones grandmas/great grandmas (i hope:D got fromOS board:D via bertie:D )'

    he shut up then:rotfl:

the thing is he has disappointed me as we grew up on grandmas home cooking ~ original O/S!!!!

has anyone else had this attitude from an adult

    bess xxx

PS. he did say they were really really yummy:D but that does not excuse him!!
:D I know i'm in my own world~it's ok they know me here!!! :D

Bess there is hope yet - I used to despair of my OH many years ago because he would overlook all of the lovely HM food I had left for him in the fridge and grab a frozen pizza instead, simply because he didn't recognize my cooked dishes as 'food' as they didn't have a printed cardboard sleeve around them telling you what it was (or rather pretended to be!). It has taken a while, but he has improved lots and will now voluntarily eat HM frozen dishes out of the freezer when I am away on work trips. Provided I label them clearly! He is also in favour of HM pizza's these days because he loves them with sardines, which you cannot usually find in the supermarket. The only thing I have so far been unable to wean him off is his mug of instant soup in the morning, but I'm sure I'll get that one too in the end...... :-)
