cant say i have heard of rondello biscuits either, will have a look though, would they have been regional?
claudie, a small amount of dried blueberries would do, think i put in too much dried cranberries and the biscuits were a bit too sweet for me, liked the dried ginger though and dd uses cinnamon
there is a mention of rondello biscuits in this site but doesnt really say what they are

I know - I'm bulk making tomato sauce to freeze for pasta / chilli tonight and have just been to buy some yeast for bread! I'll have the menu planning thing perfected by next week aswell - ooh, i might call my mum tonight and tell her how good i've been!:rotfl:odi et amo0 -
Made my third batch this morning, using smartprice butter this time, and they have turned out as proper biscuits at last instead of softer but still tasty things!0

These sound fab, I'm going to try making some today!:j
edit: my first batch just came out the oven, and they are scrummy! I had to use wholemeal SR flour, as we have run out of plain SR, but they are delicious! I can't see them lasting long once my OH gets in from work.0 -
polly and chick, glad you are enjoying the biscuits, even healthier with the brown flour too0

Well I got around to making a batch today.
I think I may have converted the ingredients a bit wrong and I put in too much oats as mine were a bit dry.
I had to really force them into a ball shape & I wasn't game to flatten them with a fork in case they all fell apart.
They taste nice though but not as nice as Anzacs.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Made another bacth yesterday but with Flora Light, not sure what I did wrong but they were nothing like the others I made and didn't even slightly resemble a HobNob. But they were yummmyy and are almost all gone :rotfl:The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0
