I made a full batch for work - 42 big hobonbs. Gone by the time I blinked, and the recipe is now asked for all the time!
Just thrown together a 1/2 batch in an advert break. I went food shopping and didn't buy any biccies, as I'd rather have these with a cup of tea0 -
I went to Sainsbury's today and found Organic (salted & unsalted) butter 2 for £2. I think I'm going back there to get some more :eek:Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

I made two batches of dough yesterday, enough for six freezer-sized mini-batches. Baked the first batch because my husband was whining about there being cookie dough but no cookies and theyre gorgeous!
Plus the butter was on special offer, the oats 25c/kg from Aldi and the whole six batches cost €1.34 :money:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Latest batch - added a couple of mashed bananas to the dry ingredients before mixing in the melted marg/water/syrup. Very nice and chewy. Another use for cheap bananas.0

Ooooooo..... that sounds nice
Was thinking of making another batch this weekend, and I have some bananas that want using up this week (I'm unlikely to eat them all as well)Cheryl0 -
I made a batch tonight with some chopped nuts and chocolate in.
Quick question: How long will they last once cooked if I hide them away. Going on hol in a couple of weeks and want to take some to last about ten days but don't want to be baking on day before we go. Will they go off or last for a couple of weeks?
Know they don't normally last because they don't get the chance. Have just made second batch in three days.
The mashed banana idea sounds great.Second purse £101/100

Only just noticed this thread. DD and I are doing our biscuit and cake baking session tomorrow afternoon, so I am going to try this for a change. The Toonies like Hobnobs but I don't buy them because of the salt content!January GC: £64.81/£80.00
