I've made a couple of batches in the last week with dried cranberries & cinnamon in they are seriously yummy  Home Bargains have cranberries and dried apricots in at a very good price at the moment.

I gave the recipe to my friend last week & she is highly impressed and experimenting away using half porridge oats, half museli, coconut, apricots, more syrup .......... she's having a blast :j

    Twink Hope you are ok.

I've only just discovered this recipe and its fab, my oh can be quite fussy but he loves them, says they remind him of ones he use to buy at school for his lunch.

Huge thanks Twink for the recipe. I tried it out tonight with the girls at the Girls Brigade company I run and they absolutely loved them. I normally resort to those prepacked tastless and ridiculousy expensive biscuit mix boxes when the girls ask to bake so was very proud of myself when I dared make your hob nobs! We are going to make more batches and sell them to hungry parents to raise money for Cancer Research. They were delicious, and I shouldn't know that as I'm on a diet but I did sample half of one!

well done on making the biscuits, there are lots of variations on the recipe and you can make them as a traybake, my dgs who has diabetes took them to a quick cricket competition and their school came second, they are good for keeping him going with the oats
good luck with the fund raising and the diet ;)

Clean answers only please :) Made the very lovely hob nob recipe by Twink today, totally lush. I have a fair few and I want to save some for my Mum who I won't see until next week, can I freeze them? If not, I know I'll eat them!!

I have never frozen the actual hob nob... So I dont know if it makes them, worse or better.
But I have made up the dough, and froze some of that.
I spilt the dough into 3.... cooked one...
Then rolled the other two into a sausage shape, wrapped in clingfilm, then froze them.
It is such a time saver, for me, doing it this way. And there is no difference to the taste :D

Hi! I freeze the cooked hobnobs and find they freeze really well and are just as yummy when defrosted:j I just put them in a tub in layers with some greaseproof in between the layers.
    Do what you love :happyhear
