    I have worked out the calories and fat for the entire mixture as follows ....

    8oz flour = 514 cal & 1.8g fat
    8oz margaine = 645 cal & 72g fat
    8oz sugar = 600 cal & 0g fat
    8oz oats = 534 cal & 12g fat
    tblsp golden syrup = 50 cal & 0g fat

    TOTAL = 2342 CALORIES. and 85.8g fat.

    I have just made 26 hobnobs , they are the size of my palm each,
    and I have worked out they are only
    90 calories each and have 3.3g fat.

    wow , I am impressed cos they are so much more filling than a go ahead bar that has the same value.:T

    Sorry Mirry , I think your calculations are incorrect :-(

    8oz is 225g So;

    225g of flour at 350 cals per 100g is 778 cals

    225g oats at 360 cals per 100g is 810 cals ( 18g fat)

    225g sugar at 400 cals per 100g is 900 cals

    225g marge at 630 clas per 100g is 1418 cals ( 157 g fat )

    1 tbsp syrup 50 cals

    So each of Twinks 45 biscuits has 88 cals and 3.9g fat.

    If you got 26 biscuits from the mix, each will have 152 cals and 6.7 g fat.

    So, I made these in a ball shape (not sure why I didn't squish them flat into biscuit shape) but, although they were more of a hobnobby 'bite' than a biscuit they were DIVINE and I would make them this way again.

    THANK YOU Twink :D they disappeared quicker than anything I've made before! My sis had about 8 of them in a row (I had 6!) although they were small but still waaayyyy too tasty.
