I'm planning on doing homemade food hampers for family this year and after all the posts about the hobnobs I decided I'd better make a batch up now so I now what I'm doing closer to Christmas and also so I can sample them, just to make sure they taste OK:p. I've made LOADS!!!!! and eaten quite a few. They taste fab and I'll now be making these instead of my other biscuit recipes!

    So well done you!:T

thanks for that Sparkly and there are plenty of variations to keep you going for a while too ;)

:T Thanks so much for the hob nob recipe (I realise I'm about 2yrs behind everyone else but heho!)

I've just made my first batch with gluten free SR flour - LOVELY!!!!! I miss hobnobs since found oout no more gluten but I like these better and one less thing to buy/longingly look at Mr S or T!!!.

I love this thread, I've flitted around the forums for ages but never felt I wanted to post. Now I feel I'm learning so much for all of you and OS fits in with how I am trying to live and reinforcing how I need to change my thinking about spending. Love to all!!:A

thats great you can have a hobnob again and with all the variations you wont need to buy biscuits again as the gluten free are much more expensive i think

glad you are finding the forum so helpful too

cazscoob just think how good the porage oats are for you :D

Ta Twink as we say up north in the gloom, (only kidding its been sunny here but cold!) Gluten free stuff in the supermarkets are a rip off generally and not very nice to eat. Feel so inspired will try coconut maccaroons next as bought GF ones are expensive/not that nice!:D

I made some of these yesterday and they are great, thank you Twink! My OH likes them but has asked for chocolate covered ones and my friends had some today and have decided cinammon (sp?) ones would be good for christmas. Had to reduce the size after my first lot all stuck together though, lol.

    more satisfied customers :D

fedupandskint coconut macaroons should be easy enough to make though i think they need to be on nonstick parchment or rice paper

cinnamon works fine in the hobnobs Esor
