Maybe they are considering making a payment which would be the amount you should have got had they not been so cr*p! I hope so1 Drinks on you then?0

the lady I am dealing at the CSA with has said they are looking at making me a payment, but no idea how much for, obviously it isnt going to be the whole amount of the arrears (£28k) but when the house was sold, ex and his wife got 12k each, so it says on the completion statement. and as they have asked to see the statement am hoping it will be some kind of figure based on what I should have had, if they had done that Charging order. i am hopeful it might be a fair amount, then it will be up to them to try and get it back off ex, best of luck to them I say! I have been trying for 14 years, lol.
And yes, the milky bars will most definately be on me!!0 -
Oh good, I LOVE Milky Bars lol0

Just a quickie again, CSA have told me that they are considering the request, they have the evidence regarding my ex pocketing the proceeds from his house sale I sent them the completion statement his now ex wife gave me showing how much he got) and they have said a decision will be reached within the next four weeks.
In the meantime, I have been contacted by a national newspaper, through someone who knows someone who is a journalist etc, and they are wanting to run an article on me and my CSA story. No idea why as there are far worse horror stories than mine, but the lady I spoke to was very interested , she said it wont be attacking my ex as they are not allowed to do that, it will be pointing out all the errors the CSA have made. What do you think guys, will it help my cause or put the CSA's back up?0 -
i have no idea but it may get them to answer questions!! It can't prejudice anything otherwise you will have even more reason to ask for compo!!!! Well I never!!! Good luck do let us know what you get!0

Thanks, I spoke to the journalist who was lovely and very shocked at the way the CSA operate and asked me for my opinion on what they could do to improve, what laws should be in place to stop cases like mine happening, she was really interested in everything I said, and I told her everythiing. She said they cant go in slating my ex as that could be libel, but they can say exactly what the CSA have failed to do. She wanted a photo (eek I havent decided that yet!) and obviously the children nor my ex would not be named. I am just waiting to hear what her boss thinks to my story and then they will come back to me with more details. I am very nervous if they do decide to go ahead, but to be honest, what have I got to lose? The CSA have told me it will be another 4 weeks to make a decision, even though they have had the complaint since March and I am not sure even then they wont decide they need another x amount of time to look into things at their end so really I think i will go for it. My partner asked if I was offered payment from the newspaper for my story, I dont think it works like that does it!
Should I inform the CSA in advance that I am going to be in the papers, if it comes to that?0 -
No, I wouldn't bother, the journalist will inform them and the CSA will say 'we cannot comment on individual cases'!!!0
-
I second Kelloggs here. Don't bother. It will not achieve anything and would you like your pic published in a newspaper relating to yet another CSA story?
I find it strange they wish to publish a pic, but not name yourself.
I reckon the journalist was feigning their shock as all journalists are very well aware of the CSA's failings.
Kelloggs is right. She has quoted the usual CSA response.
Concentrate your energies on the CSA...0 -
Thanks, my name would be in it with my pic, but not the childrens' names nor their father. Sorry didnt make that clear. Havent heard back from her anyway yet so still not sure what is going on. As regards the CSA and their further 4 weeks to now make a decision, I find that incredible as they have had my complaint for 5 months now and according to them they had been investigating it and getting facts together, why would they now need another month to make a decision? Apparently a reply has been received by my MP to her letter to the Minister, which has been forwarded on to me which I havent received (probably stuck in the postal stricke backlog) and when I asked my MP's assisitant to tell me what it said, she said she was too busy to find the correspondence as she has just come back from time off and has a mountain of work to get through, but if I have any queries when i receive the postal version, to come back to her!! Am astounded by their lack of interest to be honest, but at the same time dont want to upset her and her get shirty with me, hey ho, waiting again0

It just drags on and on and on! I know EXACTLY how you feel! Neither the CSA nor the MPs have any concept of the impact that not getting the money LEGALLY OWED TO YOU has. If it were a bank owing you money it would have been paid years ago! It never ceases to amaze me how slap dash their attitude is. I have sent 2 e mails this week asking for an update on my case to see if the money is imminent or not but no reply! I don't want to keep phoning, but I will Friday if I don't hear by then (I would do it tomorrow but I have a life to live and am going out with a friend i haven't seen for nearly 10 years!!) It gets so all consuming if you let it!0
