I dont know if he is signing on or not, but the CSA are still assessing him as working and he is supposed to be paying £107 a week, they said this will continue to be added to the arrears until he advises them that he isnt working.
He is living with a girlfrend who has 6 children and is having a 7th by him, I dont know if she is claiming as a single parent so she doesnt lose any of her benefits, I would imagine this is the case, as he is not on any official records as living at that same address.

and just for the record, I do have a job, I have worked since my son was 13 days old, out of necessity as otherwise we wouldnt have been able to keep a roof over our heads. Which is more than their father has done, if I had relied on him, we would be homeless and living on benefits. And I would love nothing more than for my ex to never have anything more to do with me, but as we have two children together, I will have to have contact with him for the rest of my life, so not an option unfortunately. i have never bad mouthed my ex in front of the children, even when they were crying at the door when he hadnt come to collect them as promised over and over again, I always made an excuse for him as I couldnt bear for them to be so upset. Even when I had to tell my children that their father had been sent to prison, which is just about the worst thing ever, they thought he was dead as we hadnt heard anything from him for weeks, I still felt i had to play it down and make out he hadn't done anything too bad, else they would have been distraught and that is not what I could bear for them. I have always encouraged the children to have a relaitonship with their father and they have no idea that he owes a huge amount of money, in fact they have no idea about any of this CSA stuff, which is how it should be , it is not their fault their father is a loser, they will work that out in their own time, hopefully. I have gone without just about all but the bare essentials for myself so the children could have school shoes and a winter coat, and have worked 3 jobs at one stage so my son could go on his school trip which he was desperate for. I really take offence when people think it is easy and that I am being vindictive, they have no idea what it is like, and of course neither has my ex as he is living a very nice life at everyone elses expense!0 -
Take no notice of that narrow minded idiot that keeps leaving stupid comments on every thread. You sound like a brilliant mother who looks out for her childrens wellbeing. Keep up the excellent job you are doing. I know it can be hard but remember your children will remember everything that is happening now and will make their own minds up about your ex when they are old enough. Good luck and big ((hugs))michelefauk wrote: »Thanks for those links!

michelefauk wrote: »Hi
I have posted on here before and received lots of help, so here goes again!
The story so far goes that my ex owes over £27000 in unpaid maintenance for our 2 children aged 15 and 13, this debt goes back 13 years, in that time I have received a couple of hundred pounds under a deduction of earnings order, that is all.
the CSA now have a Liability Order against my ex, which was issued in february 07. To date nothing has happened about this, I did contact the CSA to enquire whether they had managed to collect any payments, they informed me that the bailiffs would be visiting my ex but as yet hadnt (since february??) and to phone back in a month when they might be able to tell me something. To be honest the bailiffs will get nowhere, as my ex lives in a council property which is in his girlfriend's name, has no bank account, no job, no assets etc etc. The CSA said that the bailiffs wouldnt accept any kind of payment plan that he might offer, they will be looking for 50% of the debt upfront then the remainder paid off over a year. as this is obviously not going to happen, what will be the outcome? the bailiffs will return the case to the CSA and then what?
the other story that runs alongside this is that I have made a complaint in writing to the CSA which I asked for answers to some issues that they had made errors on previously (not putting a charging order on my exes property, which ended up being sold and he pocketed the proceeds) and a couple of other issues. I sent this complaint to the Area Director on 4th march 07, he acknowledged it 8th march 07 saying I would have an answer by 28th March. on 28th march the CSA called to say they needed longer to look into my complaint and would reply very shortly. On 17th MAY I called to find out why had not received an answer, was told very sorry, my letter was sitting unanswered in my file but that someone would be replying as a matter of urgency. I have still not had a reply. To say I am disgusted is an understatement. I] have a meeting with my MPs assistant tomorrow, and wondered what i should be demanding, I am not going to chaserthis up with the CSa again, as I find it too stressful to wait on the phone while they try to find someone who knows what is going on, this takes hours and I left wanting to scream in frustration! then all they will say is thasomeone will get back to me.
Any advice from anyone would be much appreciated, I am truly at my wit's end with battling the CSA, as I know many others are.
:money: you put allot of effort into dealing with csa nice to see. best thing is you put that effort into getting a job or working for your self. you will not get whats owed bcos its not owed they say its owed but not to you.csa usaully get money and hold it. and if they can get away with it leech it for them selfs and tell you some rubbish its lost in the system. if you was not getting csa to take so much money im sure your x would be willing to help but now csa involved it will not happen. you will get more angry with csa bcos you need the money that your x does not owe so best you leave it right to your mp and heads of office. thats life0 -

He is a total wan**r and an ar**hole! Oh how glad I am not his ex and even more glad that I am not his poor poor child. What a future his child is to have if he has him as a role model. Shudder to think.0

Just another update:
The CSa have asked me to provide evidence that my ex sold his house with his then wife and received an amount of money. I spoke to his ex wife who thankfully I am on very good terms with, and she has supplied me with the completion statement from the sale showing the house being sold and the proceeds being split, it shows the exact amount that was paid to both parties, so is very clear that he received a substantial amount of money. This has been faxed to the CSA and I am fairly hopeful now that this is more evidence against their maladministration in not putting a Charging Order on this property when they had the chance to do so. Anyone kow what might happen now? thanks0
