If you are really good you hit all the KPI's in 'work time' and no need for over time.
Yes, that would explain why the boss had gone home early.

He is and so are you.

People don't blame the system for their unemployment, they're saying that the system is not fit for purpose.

Do you think the system is fit for purpose?
    Applicants apply for jobs.

    Applicants are interviewed for jobs.

Applicants get the jobs on merit and on the basis they're fit for purpose.

The JC system is one method of finding work but by no means the only one, nor should it be.

You must understand the JC say its the BEST way to find a job and the UJM has the most jobs advertised in the whole of the UK

  • How about leading by example?
I agree. The employees could easily take the same risks, financial, H&S, HR, burdens, become the boss, set up the business, employ some staff. Then they could go home early. Any idea why they haven't done that?

More like pragmatic comments that some don't want to hear as they carry on doing the same and getting the same results. As you've evidenced here. Again.

    Alright captainsesible explain my situation.

Twelve months ago I was on the work program. doing just the same as these guys on here now. Then out of the blue interview and job offer. There was nothing to distinguish between this application and a thousand others I'd sent.

Now before I received that offer you would have had me labeled as negative, lazy, workshy, moaning, blaming the system etc.etc.

The reality is that I am a hard worker and my employer recognises this, only today going in after a weeks holiday I had an email telling me I had won tickets to see Russell Howard at the end of the month, and all down to my hard work.

If any on here were to get lucky (yes lucky) like I did, I don't doubt a lot would behave in employment exactly as I do.

Well my old boss as in the MD got given the company by his dad :)

He was 1st in and last out at night.

The direct boss as in the FD was last in and first out at night.

The when you talk about shops I doubt the store manager is the owner etc .

  • Plus do your duties within the day
Overtime may be needed occasionally but not daily
Depends on the business. Many employers want flexible staff to work in line with business requirements, especially where, for example orders fluctuate but deadlines are constant. Many employers will therefore ask about flexibility etc at interview and if theres any whiff of militance they'll pass over to the next applicant for sure.

As the claimant and applicant you must understand that the job seeking responsibilities ultimately lie with the job seeker.

Advice, support, coaching etc is fine but when it comes down to ultimate responsibility for finding work, that lies with claimant, their skills, achievements application and interview technique etc. Expectations that others will or should sort it for them are misguided.
