I was at my last company 4 years and 49 weeks (almost 5 years) and left with one month PILON and 4 weeks statutory redundancy which was £££ less than my weekly salary.

Not a great figure at all.
In which case, if no other capital you'd be eligible for JSA subject to meeting conditionality.

No capital don't come into it until week 26 as long as you have 2 years NI full stamp.

You sign on with a million quid till then

I had only what I left work with and that went then in week 26 I got Income Based JSA where I could then get free prescriptions and a dental check up.

Funny drug addicts can get their methadone free regardless!

I have never been interviewed for a different job - who does that's!!?

someone who incorrectly advertised the job I concluded as they wanted stuff which had not even been advertised, seemed to expect me to work overtime and travel by car!!

Don't answer him/her. They will find a way to label you a no good scrounger based on your reply.
Typical response from someone who doesn't want their 'issues' resolved at all but chooses to raise them when it suits an agenda.

The advisor may well have been giving an opportunity for the claimant to show their commitment to job seeking in readiness for the changes in April.

    Yes, that's what I said in #3235.

I dont think sensibleadvice is unemployed bashing. I think certain people in here are insistent on blaming others for their situation. Some in here would defend Hitler if he was unemployed.

It'd be a rare job advert that included every responsibility and detail, so it makes no sense to say that it was not "as advertised" when they flesh the description out in the interview.

Neither expecting you to work overtime, or to travel by car, is unreasonable, either. Both are perfectly fair requirements of an employer.

You do rather come across as someone looking for excuses not to take jobs, by the way. If you come across the same way to the job centre you may well be sanctioned.

    his comments are bashing sometimes
    it's variable
Also - there's serious stupidity in using that person as part of your claims
    Plus there's a recession etc

you never bothered to read what I said
overtime, cars and the actual job are normally what is in the job advertisement
this was a job interview where they focused on a totally different job

More like pragmatic comments that some don't want to hear as they carry on doing the same and getting the same results. As you've evidenced here. Again.
