For those with an attitude like that a couple of hours pi**ing about on a computer may well be the best case scenario to stay on benefits in a few months time.

A complete waste of taxpayer money though....

I seriously cannot see the point in spending more money to achieve nothing.

I think for sensibleadvice it's not about the money, it's about punishing those long term unemployed.

    You could be right.

But, as a taxpayer, I don't want money wasted on some sort of 'revenge and power trip' orchestrated by this lousy government and Daily Mail readers...

I would sooner my money spent on helping create proper jobs, (not these phoney jobs, as at present), paying a reasonable wage, to get people off of unemployment benefits.

They can only do this for jobs they have told you about, not jobs you've found yourself. Also the employers are not obliged to tell the Jobcentre anything and you could tell the employer not to reveal any information about you under the Data Protection Act if you really want to be on the safe side.

You are right there, i also since found that out that its a data protection act issue, they are liars at the jc.

well been hassled into doing a pointless computer course now. not by the jobcentre itself but by the people at the place the jobcentre sent me to. still a couple of hours a week at my convenience pi**ing about on a computer isnt the worst thing to have to do. its just a waste of time.

Are they still insisting you all use somebody elses toilets round the corner?:eek::(

the attitude of doing a pointless course. doing a task that serves no useful purpose except to enable a provider to claim cash from the government justifies my contempt.

It's interesting how some claim to know what others are thinking.

For your info it is about the money but also about the negative mindset of LT unemployed....the types that complain about having to do this, that, the other despite failing to find work for years. Those types probably pi*s me off as much as it pi*ses them off having to do all those inconvenient things for their free money. Hope that's OK with you.
