This would be the same 98% who, before going on WP failed to demonstrate they've done anything productive in terms of finding work. Still the same people who cite systems, govt, procedures etc are to blame for their failure to find work. The same 98% who work so hard to avoid considering there may be an underlying reason that involves taking a look at themselves and why they fail to find work whilst others succeed.
Finding work is not as easy as applying for jobs you know.

Apply for 5 or 500 jobs it's still the same. No interview = no job.

I got a knock back today by VUE cinemas who wont interview people who are not currently in work no matter how long you haven't worked.

You know, the more you repeat something doesn't make it right ;)
Doesn't need to be made right when it's right to start with.

As long as the underlying reason not acknowledged the results will stay the same, as the system blamers keep evidencing whilst others around them succeed.

This 'system' (WP) which has been put in place to address this issue clearly isn't working then.

Apply for 5, get no interview, fair enough, ask for feedback and use it to improve.

Apply for another 10, perhaps 20 without an interview I'd be looking what was wrong with applications, CV, content etc.

50+ without interview would be concerning.

500... then there's a real problem with the approach or types of work that is considered or content on CV etc.

You have to consider what 'this issue' is and it starts before WP. Problem is many don't want to acknowledge the elephant in the room that is the claimant.

What if there is nothing so to say 'wrong' it just that you are not working and they will not interview you? Or no experience in the job or too much experience and you are applying for junior roles as you are told to apply for anything you can do and you should be willing to do anything.

And the WP and the JC staff can give advice on all of this *sigh*

    .

'Not enough experience'... was the last feedback I received following an interview.

Just got a reply from an application

'Thank you for responding to our advert on LinkedIn. I am sorry that we will not be taking your application any further on this occasion. Due to the large volume of applications I have received, unfortunately I am not able to give individual feedback or enter into further correspondence'

I wouldn't have bothered even sending that to me!

...even if each of those were 10% out of 500 applications there's still 350.

Are you seriously suggesting no interview in 500 applications?

And of course, how many do you apply for that say..'If you have not heard from us by such and such a date please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.' etc etc.
