  • i use the books also and i dont allow access either. it does however still serve a purpose should the day ever come where they try to accuse me of not applying for jobs. all i would need to do is print off the app history. they cant dispute that as it is concrete proof i applied.

Which doesn't work when it's done by a different site
    Printouts are proof though
My ones I think act like you are a liar just for being unemployed

its now got harder to make sure your app history is full of jobs. CIT vacancies no longer let you apply on the site and now take you to an outside site to apply.
Yes, that changed after 20 Jan.

I think it was just a fault in way CIT listed their jobs, that you could apply via UJM which shows in UJM application history. I think they wanted you to use link in the advert to apply for job.

I don't think those applications via UJM were valid or reached employer, assume they went nowhere.

But it was an easy way to fill application history, as now very few jobs you can apply via UJM, most go to outside links.

i just about find enough jobs with an apply button to ensure they are recorded in the app history.

They say that they are making spot checks on you now. They say they can ring an employer and see if you applied. Cant see how they will have time but still.

why are they so incompetent they keep losing everything. They keep asking people to fill in forms when they have lost them.

if this was any other ofganisation they would have shut down by now.

well been hassled into doing a pointless computer course now. not by the jobcentre itself but by the people at the place the jobcentre sent me to. still a couple of hours a week at my convenience pi**ing about on a computer isnt the worst thing to have to do. its just a waste of time.

They lose everything. I do voluntary work and have told them and filled in forms. They say we dont have it and can you do it again. The same thing happenec to a woman in front of me today. Advisor said we dont have your form, she said i have filled one in for you about my vol work. The advisor says well we dont have it.

there must be loads of things lost down the back of filing cabinets in jobcentres.

For those with an attitude like that a couple of hours pi**ing about on a computer may well be the best case scenario to stay on benefits in a few months time.

They can only do this for jobs they have told you about, not jobs you've found yourself. Also the employers are not obliged to tell the Jobcentre anything and you could tell the employer not to reveal any information about you under the Data Protection Act if you really want to be on the safe side.

you want people on courses that are useless to them?
