Searchvacancies have countless adverts listed on the DWP website. Many of them are also for shop worker/office jobs too. I live in Norwich and a pretty high proportion of all jobs advertised are through these bunch of jokers when you do a general search on the website.
I too am worried about getting sanctioned if I can't demonstrate I am applying for enough jobs. So I often apply through this websie (which, like others have said, just involves your inputting your name, email address and cut and paste a CV into the "application form").
However, I have had identity fraud recently. Some wa**er has twice tried to take money out of my bank account online. This problem has only begun after registering with the DWP website. In addition to which, I have had many silent marketing/sales telephone calls recently after applying through the site.
Coincidence? I'm not so sure.....
Why can't they vet employers/agencies and only allow bona-fide companies advertise on here? Oh, course - it means it will reduce the number of job vacancies and reflect badly on the government. Oh, cynical me.......0 -
wow that's totally out of order, think I would have done the same as you but if they caught me, I would be willing to get a sanction for refusing that one.
the purpose of the public cv is to enable employers to invite you to apply. who the hell is going to head hunt on ujm? also whats the chance you havent already seen the job advertised anyway? they are idiots. i didnt argue and went along with it for a quiet life. beat them at their own game as was said.0 -
Well after three years on the dole I am due to start my new job tomorrow morning. I am a bit nervous but it will be good to get working even if the pay is pretty dire. And I got this job after Ingeus sent my CV to the company so.0

I use the books yet they still try to fob me off with local ones with extra detail
I do not use UJM to log my searching due to the PWP's unprofessional attitude and manner and they know I deny access so they are even more petty and vindictive0 -
