Firstly, if this post WP 'support' is so necessary, then why is it not in place of the WP? £billions could be saved!

A very good point and you can be sure that secret statistics will be being monitored over those six months to see how many Jobseekers are removed from benefits (one way or another) while on the post WP support.

It's win-win for the DWP. If the Jobcentre do better than the WP providers they have a big stick with which to beat the providers and if they do worse they have a nice excuse to downsize (i.e. eventually get rid of) the Jobcentres and transfer all operations to the (failing) WP providers.

I don't see how the JC will do better as I left the WP on the 19th July and have seen one person re the back to JC interview and that's it so far. About as much contact as the WP :rotfl:

So at my latest appointment I was told that I should be getting job interviews by now (I haven't had an interview since joining post WP)

I'm mostly applying for low skilled jobs that I have zilch experience in and generally don't even get a reply.

I applied for a call centre job last week, that had had over 100 applications made to it. I can't work out why I didn't get an interview :rotfl:

i feel sorry for all these companies having cvs sent to them and being phoned all the time by everyone. If i had a business and i had a vacancy i would advertise it and would not want to be bombarded all the time with people asking if i had a job.

    The gvt couldnt care.

You have to search in 24 different places yes?

Like Reed, Monster, the local paper, UJM as 4 etc??

I write 5 spec letters a week but running out of companies to be fair as I have done them all in the past 2 years or more

i would be tempted to get clever and say you have seen my cv havent you? they say yes. there isnt anything wrong with it is there? they say no. well it is the employers who decide whether i get an interview or not so you really should take issue with them regarding me not getting interviews.
