Quick question about this post work programme 6 month thing.

For the people who finish wp October/November this year and put on this for 6 months that lead to April next year. Are we then put straight onto that other 6 month thing that involves workfare/daily JCP visits ?

Once April kicks in then this pwps scheme doesn't exist does it ? wp returnees will be on the Help To Work scheme I think they were naming it.

For those of us being given a hard time for 6 months then transferred to the new name scheme in April could mean a lot of claimants will end up with 12 months of maybe daily or weekly JCP appointments and course referrals. Doesn't seem fair

Thats what they call it I am sure most claimants would call it something else :)

I was offered no support just threats and told I will be doing a 2 week course.

Only had the initial appointment think it will get worse week by week. They don't seem interested in what I have to say and I am annoyed about having to do another course when they didn't even bother to ask to look at my CV and example cover letters to base their decision on.

Is the first appt after the wp a lone one or a group one.

On the 1st page under MY RESPONSIBILITIES there is a box that has been written in by hand by advisor 46.

Whole printed sentence says I know I must:
actively seek work by doing at least 46 things a week.

On page 3 I have write to at least 4 and phone at least 2, check UJM 5 times a week, look in local paper daily and check 4 different websites daily.

That adds up to 37 so where he conjured up 46 god knows.

Why can't they just simplify these things and just put apply for X jobs a week.

If forced to do this 2 week course he mentioned at a college I was told it was 9-5 which means 7.30-6.30 because the college is that far away by public transport, will I have to do these 46 things a week on top of this full time course too ?
on mine they wrote 37 actions per week but it adds upto 41.

you are meant to be excused from the jsa requirements during the course. however dont take a chance, still provide evidence in the usual way when you sign on after the course. if you really dont have the time, it is totally upto you but you could make some of it up. that is technicalty fraud but then they are breaking the rules by asking for it which they almost certainly will do.
