Yes we know that and I have previously stated I have only had 2 meetings since July with my advisor as she is too busy and has not appointments. She can not make appts more than 4 weeks in advance so its pot luck if I get to see her. Other than that I just sign.

They are going to take on more staff for this and that's how they will do it.

You're very lucky. My job center only has 3 staff who act as advisers for the WP leavers and i have to see one of them atleast every 1/2 weeks. She told me it's mean to be weekly, but as they don't have enough staff sometimes it's every 2 weeks.

  • i would be asking to claim fares.

    And I'd hope they'd pay! :)
  • Yes it's absolutely stupid, but she did tell me ours is one of the first to start this daily sign on, even though they don't have the staff.

Any vacancies at the centre then? :D

We have 3 at mine too. I have been told its decided how often you go in by how much help you need and how they can help you.

Can't be correct as the 2nd time i saw mine (couple days ago) she told me i'm doing everything i need to do alone and don't need any of their help, so every time i see her all she does is check my jobs and tell me i can go, but still says 'even though we don't think you need any help it's in our contact that we need you every week if our diary is clear and we have to do our job'

It is correct unless I am missing appointments? LOL

She has to see me but it can be for signing (to include a 'meeting') but she is fully booked.

Like I say I have only seen her twice since the come back apt in July!!

Also depends on how many people the 3 people are seeing.

Where I live or working age 37.10% of adults are out of work!

found on the net it says 'Over 8400 residents would need to move into work to ensure convergence with the London employment rate (69.5.1%).' about where I am.

we have to do it, we have no choice, it is required of us etc are all standard lines used to excuse what they do.

There is no set structure. Its all down to the advisor and what they see you to be doing and what help they think you need etc

May I ask what jobcentre as I am curious if there's others from the same jobcentre getting similar treatment? Don't need to answer if it makes you feel uncomfortable for privacy or other reasons
