Surely there are similar people to me at the JC and who are dealt with the same way.
We really wouldn't know unless I took a poll of the people who left the building. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I was just looking through my JSAg again getting stuff together for signing tomorrow.
I know I was handed my JSAg straight from the printer to sign then advisor signed the 2 copies and then folded it up to give to me so pages 2/3 are showing. Just been looking at entire thing and on P1 I noticed in the space I KNOW I MUST * actively seek work by doing at least X things a week he had hand written 46 things.
I know this was never brought up in my interview, the only things he made a point of telling me to do was the things on page 3. He must have added this number in when he signed the agreement and before he folded it up and gave it me back.
Does anyone else have an amount of things to do on theirs ? I am talking about on page 1 and not page 3.
I mean I probably do do 46 things a week if I added up amount of times throughout day I check Indeed and UJM etc and online applications, cover letters etc.
I have a problem with not being told about this and him sneaking it in. It is like he wants to sanction me next time. As long as I do the things on page 3 and my job search matches or exceeds this is this enough or should I be writing down every time I go online etc so it adds up to a list of 46 things per week ?
Signing tomorrow so should I ask ?
Think its a lot of things when I sometimes do 20 hours per week volunteer work too. At least with Universal Credit it is taken into consideration off your 35 hours jobsearch if you work part time or volunteer.
Wish I was back on wp to be honest0 -
46 things? OR 46 job applications?
Page 1 I have nothing on it only stuff on page 3We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
46 things? OR 46 job applications?
Page 1 I have nothing on it only stuff on page 3
On the 1st page under MY RESPONSIBILITIES there is a box that has been written in by hand by advisor 46.
Whole printed sentence says I know I must:
actively seek work by doing at least 46 things a week.
On page 3 I have write to at least 4 and phone at least 2, check UJM 5 times a week, look in local paper daily and check 4 different websites daily.
That adds up to 37 so where he conjured up 46 god knows.
Why can't they just simplify these things and just put apply for X jobs a week.
If forced to do this 2 week course he mentioned at a college I was told it was 9-5 which means 7.30-6.30 because the college is that far away by public transport, will I have to do these 46 things a week on top of this full time course too ?0 -

Yes I do a printed log of my job search on pc and just date it at the top for each fortnight print it off and keep it in a folder.
I do well over the 6 actions on page 3 under what I will do to identify and apply for jobs.
Just concerned how this random number was snuck in on 1st page. Guess because it was hand written I could always say that wasn't there when I signed it.
Guess we all do at least 50 things a week by the time we tot them all up. Checking on and of UJM and Indeed 10 times a day is that. Then the actual applications on top. Think I will type up on a seperate piece of paper things I do a week just to cover myself if they spring the question on me.
Just don't like sneaky advisors. If some claimants volunteer then that should be taken into consideration. After all I had to fill in a voluntary work form from JCP to get my volunteer work passed and now its convenient for it to be ignored. If I had no current experience of work I would probably get MWA threats.
Even though only seen my advisor once I think I will request a new one after 2nd appointment. Can we do this on PWPS ?0 -
PWPS?? Whats that?
I don't keep a log for the JC for the job searches I do or I will fill out a sheet every hour! We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Oh is that what they call it LOL
Thats what they call it I am sure most claimants would call it something else
I was offered no support just threats and told I will be doing a 2 week course.
Only had the initial appointment think it will get worse week by week. They don't seem interested in what I have to say and I am annoyed about having to do another course when they didn't even bother to ask to look at my CV and example cover letters to base their decision on.0
