Well I did the hardest thing on the list....oven cleaned! Also steam mopped the floor, wiped the sides and cleared a hotspot, so not too bad for a bit of evening flying
I have decided to just do some bits of the list and not worry about finishing everything on it as I just can't keep up along with working, commuting, walking the dog etc! Some of you guys are actual superheroes getting all ths stuff done!!!0 -

Fabulous, Bossy. She won't realise, for a long time, just how special a mum she has. Good thing you've got us Flyladies to say it. If I forget to say it before you go, have a wonderful, wonderful holiday.
Faceless - it took me months to get round to actually tackling the oven so Respect! Once I'd got to grips with it, it never seemed so bad again. It was a Frog, it's now just another thing on the list. In all the cooking that's going on in the Bear household, the fact that I've dripped some cheesy something on the floor of the oven (and a garlic clove in the gap between the door and the hinged bit) has become a 'Hmm must deal with that ... after I've dealt with ...' which happen to be a tad more urgent.
Waiting for chaps to come home from working at a place which has a deadline tonight of 11.00pm. I know R wants a cream tea with a huge mug of tea before bed and OH will want a glass of red and, failing meat, cheese. There may be others. I don't know how many, but as I only finished the washing up from high tea an hour ago and then took the dog for a walk for half an hour on the Hoe, the third gin is slipping down a treat and the only thing that's keeping me going. This is called running on empty, I believe, and I think everyone working on this project reached that point a few days ago.Better is good enough.0 -
Evening all
Grabbed the list for DD. She's already vaccumed the livingroom and her hotspot will be the ironing pile, which will also clear the dining tableMirrors are currently noticeboards so they won't be getting cleaned and I'm aiming to do as much of my accounts as possible. I was stuck sorting papers today when doing my accounts, and my laptop shut down with no warning so it must have overheated.
Tomorrow we're forecast heavy rain apparently so we're staying home, DD can tackle her list, I'll attack the accounts and hopefully Wednesday we will be able to go and get uniform etc! Working Thursday, so if we don't make it Wednesday it'll have to be Friday and I'll be paying out for a buspass for DD
I best head to bed. I've left my alarm set for 6am despite it being the holidays. I'm loving being able to have some quiet time before DD gets up, she talks almost non-stop or hums or whistles or drums her fingers or bangs stuff what feels like constantly from when she wakes up until she finally goes to bed. Even then some nights she talks in her sleep or snores :wall: We had the immortal "I'm bored" today and its only the first official day of the holidays  I wouldn't mind if she didn't have dozens of unread books, I don't know how many craft kits, toys, board games, puzzle books, jigsaws she's got. She's just too blooming lazy hence the chores this week :mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Just got home from work and have walked into a house which has a clean and tidy kitchen! Love my DH
. I have been sitting on my sofa for half an hour and so far have not seen a single flea
so think we have finally broken the back of them. About blimming time with all the washing, hoovering, carpet cleaning and flea flushing we've been doing !
Am off to bed now. It's cooler here (slightly) after the almighty thunder and lightning storms we had along with an hour of torrential teeming down rain. Hope to get a better sleep today. Neighbours were away for weekend and got back at 12:20 yesterday. She rang the doorbell as she'd forgotten her key and was mortified when I appeared in pj's. "Oh no, I've got you out of bed!". I felt bad for her feeling so bad
.
