As I was working, and OH was off this weekend, he went up there as well and stayed with my father, OH said it was misty and cold at times, they had dinner at the Cliftonville and watched folk go by well wrapped up in coats etc.
And last weekend, my nephew who is a summer lifeguard on Cromer beach with his co worker saved 2 girls from the rip tide as they got into trouble, so he is well chuffed with himself.
Glad you had a good time and came back to a lovely front garden.

I luuuurrrrve Sassy - she doesn't shed hair!:D Mr LW did the whole bungalow with the Dys0n and only got half a cylinder-full; when Bailey & Cassie stayed I was getting 2 to 3 cylinders full on a daily basis! Mr LW also dusted the whole place, and did all the woodwork with orange oil stuff.:A That man is a gem!:o
Will be doing what little I can manage, as and when I can this week; the joints are still so painful it's ridiculous.
Actually, I have a bit of a dilemma. As many of you know, Mr LW has to help me bathe and dress, and I have to (obviously) be dressed before 07:30, which is when he leaves for work. Now, my shoulders and wrists particularly are at their worst first thing, and I now have many clothes that I simply cannot, even with help, put on at that time of the day, I'd have to wait til about 10 or 11, when the joints have loosened up a bit. But Mr LW's not here to help then.:(
So..... do I get rid of the clothes in question? Bear in mind, I'm not a clothes-y person, and don't have tons and tons of stuff; and as I hate clothes shopping with a passion, anything ditched will not be replaced. Or do I hang onto it in the hope that at some point in the future the morning pain and stiffness subsides enough for me to wear them again? It's heartbreaking, as there are some lovely items there (at least I think they are, you might not agree, lol), mostly from either charity shops or smaller establishments, (inexpensive ones I hasten to add) so not things you'd get readily on the high street, iyswim.
To give you an idea, putting on a t-shirt, f'r instance, involves me getting my arms through the armholes, then resting my hands on Mr LW's shoulders and leaning my head as far forward as I can manage while he hauls the t-shirt over my head and I try not to scream in pain.
Anyways - back to salad for dins; I've hard-boiled some eggs. And jelly for pud.;) I made some nice frozen yogurt dessert that we had over the weekend - ever so simple, a pint of natural yogurt (I used Ye0 V@lley bio yogurt), half a cup of honey (local stuff from the farmers market;)) and the zest and juice of a very large lemon. I have a little battery-operated ice-cream maker that fits in the bottom drawer of the freezer, and I just bunged that lot in it and switched it on and it made a very refreshing dessert.:o Will deffo do that again.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks TMD-id. I am at home! And I'm serving it in the garden here. I've never known how to keep food hot, so I always serve it straight from the hob/oven. I'd like to prepare it ahead and keep it hot for maybe 20 minutes, but I've never been able to find out what the correct oven temperature should be for that.
I even borrowed a book from the library about how to cook ahead safely, and all it said was '... and reheat in the usual way.'! I'm so tired of having to time everything to the minute, it would just help to have 20 minutes to play with today.
Everything that isn't eaten will be binned - Food Poisoning R Us is not the caterer. I'm deliberately cooking a lot less than actually needed. (I used to work with an Environmental Health Officer, and if nothing else, he taught me enough about food safety to know that rice is a major problem and protein is also tricky.)Better is good enough.0 -

still to do.
Clean cupboard door fronts
Also did
cleaned bath, hoovered hall and sitting room, put weedkiller on the stubborn weeds on back patio, re-organised all my rugs (& got new one for lounge), cleaned downstairs mirrors, just going to lean out of bedroom window and paint outside sill!!!!
This is soooo good. If I keep this up I will be more than ready for family visiting at start of Sept. Wanted to get ahead today and will give porch a good clean out tomorrow ..... if I still have my mojo!:rotfl:0 -

LW, I agree with pigpen, but before you actually throw anything away, have a look at this website - not necessarily to buy anything, but it might give you some ideas as to how your good clothes could be adapted. The type of popper that looks a bit like a rivet is fixed by tapping it with a hammer rather than sewn on, so that might be something that Mr LW :A could help you with. There are other similar sites with further ideas.0 -

Right, time to get these blooming accounts underway. I'm only working until 5pm as I've got a headache and I'm having trouble concentrating today as a result. I blame the heatCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Ugh I can't seem to get my arris in gear today. I'm supposed to be working but just can't concentrate. I will have to try again tonight when littlies are in bed
I was due a meeting with my boss next Tuesday, but we swapped it to Monday a few weeks back (so I could switch WFH days, as we fly early Wed morning) now I see from his schedule he's on holiday next Monday. Doh. Well he will just have to manage with a phone one instead of face to face.
Right. I might go wipe out the oven cos I'm getting s0d all done here...Bossymoo
