    Welcome Scottish Lassy!

I usually mop everywhere on the same day too. Saves faffing with buckets 3-4 times a week...

The lists are a great guide but some of us do our own due to circumstances. I work Mon - Wed so get more done later in the week.

... running to catch up, and still miles behind.

Advice please (again) FlyLadies. Doing kedgeree for 25 at a target time of 4.00pm, but will probably actually serve it at 4.10/4.15pm hot (buffet style, outside, and to make sure they're all here).

How long can I safely keep it covered, hot and steaming gently in the oven, and at what temperature?
    Better is good enough.

Welcome newbies don't burn out and anything you do is a success.

Baking. I've been out cut neighbours hedge with another neighbours son helping me (I'm paying him). Just apple tree to do and to take it all to the dump later (DS2 can help with that).

WM1 dried, WM2 on the line and about to reload with last wash of the day, weather is due to break tomorrow.

  • Honey - Serve it as hot as you would serve it for yourself at home, but remember that any rice/chicken/meat/fish needs to be covered and cooled within 1 and a half hours of serving to prevent bacteria breeding. In this weather, I would err on the side of caution and bring it indoors to be refrigerated about 1 hour after serving.

I have only been to one wedding where the catering team visibly collected all the food off the buffet tables to refrigerate for safety reasons. I was most impressed. The food then came out again at midnight for a snack, chilled, not reheated. I hate to think how many buffets I've attended over the years where the food was still sitting out many hours later  although I am still around to tell the tale :D

  • Good afternoon everyone

Thanks Natty and Dusty for the respective lists, and please count me in for this week, although I think I'll probably need a rocket (or even two) as my get up and go seems to have gone somewhere else!

Hope to post later in the week.

I've given up with the Mr A order, every healthy option I've put in basket on mysup3rmark3t has come up as out of stock for delivery tomorrow when I sent it to Mr A's. Plus its automatically upgraded some of the fresh fruit that is OOS to more expensive options. I'll take DD down with me to the store at some point and buy it in person instead. I was hoping to avoid the store especially with DD in tow but we're more or less out of fresh fruit :(

DD is currently checking whether some clothing fits or not, then its lunch and I'm off to work. When I get back I'll do some accounts and back out again at 6pm to work. DD can do some ironing and then watch Harry Potter ;) She's starting to realise that cleaning is more involved than just putting stuff away :rotfl:

  • Lounge and kitchen floors decluttered, hoovered and mopped. Indoor plants have been watered - the poor Money Tree in the study - no wonder I'm skint :o

DD has been showered and nitchecked again - they love her. She really wants to have her hair cut but I cannot take her whilst she is itching. DS has none thankfully - sooooo glad he had his long hair cut in the Spring to a shorter Olly Murs stylie.

Top tip - For any other parent out there whose child suffers with nits. I have tried everything known to man to help DD out and then stumbled upon a shampoo from the petshop called Flea or Die. It's £11.99 for a bottle and lasts AGES - you only need a 50p size blob, lather up and leave for 5 mins. The little blighters literally "jump ship". I had ran out last time and had to wait for my local store owner to get some in this weekend. It does make him laugh that I use it on the kids. A bottle will last you about 2 years and this was my second one, so far cheaper in comparison to other known brands from the Chemist, and it isn't greasy or messy. It does say Keep Out Of Reach of Children however, this is just a warning so that littlies don't b*gger about with it or swallow it. However, it also tackles, lice, mites and any other annoying critter and you will only need a couple of goes to be rid of the annoying things. Just thought I'd share that. Sorry if you are squeamish :rotfl:

Eventually sat down with a cuppa whilst the floors were drying.

HHA done - filing and online bills paid.

Time for lunch and a shower and then off to Carlisle for the Dentist. Boy how I pack fun and interesting things to do into the holidays for my kids :rotfl:
