LW... then keep it all... I am pretty certain you do not have enough to stock a charity shop on your own so a few drawers of stuff kept for days when you are wanting to feel beautiful are not going to be a problem.. THOUGH... Could some of your house slobs be replaced with some of the more well worn bit you keep 'for best'??? Pointless having stuff you can get dressed in quickly for best when you could get some use from them on non-doggy days :D

Halfway through getting this blanket sewn into 2x2 squares..

Dot snoozing on the sofa.. she is absolutely crashed!

Does this mean there will be no forum ALL weekend??

Forum downtime: the MSE forum will be read only this weekend from 5pm, Friday 26 July

What are we all going to do??

I've booked to go away for the weekend, I kid you not :rotfl::T

We need a break. DH needs to be away from the decorating, DS3 is 'missing Grandad' and DS2 won't stop studying:eek:

Booked 2 nights in a hotel near Norwich, one day we'll go to the beach and one day get a boat out on the Broads, the other we will just chill at hotel wood and pool.

Tomorrow I shall think about what we need to take.

That was part of the idea of the big turf-out; I only kept two really tatty t-shirts, for really dirty jobs that might, conceivably, require the chucking of clothes afterwards. What Mr LW refers to as "second-best woodworming clothes".:D

I have a very few "good" things that I just wear to attend the opera, or for "special" occasions - just three dresses that fall into this category, thinking about it, one of which was my wedding dress; anything else is for general use, whenever I wish (or would be, if my stoopid carcase would cooperate).

Piggers I meant to say, your knitted squares are fabulous! I was never that good, even when I used to knit a lot.:o Still hoping I'll eventually be able to knit up the wool I bought when we visited the Isle of Skye in 2007; I managed to cast on and do one row, before the pain called a halt. I'm ashamed to say I haven't picked it up again since.

I have enough wool to clothe 3 flocks of naked sheep! I an trying to knit my way through it all but I keep finding nice bits reduced in the shop and on a few facebook groups so I end up buying more.. I MUST stop buying it!!!! lol.

I have 7 drawers of clothes.. I binned everything else or flung at DD1 to scrat through.. the remainder went off to CS.. What does Mr LW think about the non-workday stuff?? I'd value his opinion he seems a sensible sort of chap!

I've got a busy weekend booked too.. DD2's birthday Friday (BBQ Thursday.. expect rain!), DS2 away Saturday and my mothers burpday do on Sunday.. bet the inhabitant decides to appear on one of these 3 days lol.

Oh, my, a SABLE wool-stash, then. lol. I have some stashed, but only one plastic box full, and I haven't bought any since 2007.:o

Re the clothes - Mr LW helped me select them!:D Two of the dresses were bought at Pagan fairs, from the lady who made them; the other, as I said, was my wedding dress, which I bought with a view to being able to wear again afterwards (it's lilac-coloured silk, and the only item I have that needs to be dry-cleaned).

I never, ever buy any clothes without his approval - mainly because, of necessity, he's always there with me to push my "chariot", and because I'm way too tight-fisted to part with money for clothes otherwise. Even the red-and-black top I mentioned earlier he had to encourage me to actually purchase; I was going to just leave it at saying how nice it was, but not buy it.:D His take was "look, you're not going to see another one like it, so get it while you have the chance".:o

Hello ladies, my leg is still painfully swollen. I've been back to the GP but she could only offer stronger painkillers and I'm allergic to them. I left empty handed .

I've done 3 x HHI which probably wasn't the best thing for my leg.
DS2 and I mucked out his room. One bin bag of rubbish and 3 bin liners of outgrown clothes. We'llbe going clothes shopping when I can walk.

DH's been shopping in Street today. I happened to mention to him that I am a size 10 in fat face dresses and he appears to have bought me one. I hope it's not for me though because it's ghastly  :o.
DS just been thrown upstairs to tidy his grotty pit. Nephew supposed to be sleeping on his floor on Friday night and it's going to be very lumpy because it's about a foot deepin crap. Am getting very cross with having to tell him to doit every day. Some days he does actually do it but he then gets everything back out and leaves it all over the floor that evening. Sodding child :(.
Still very humid and muggy here. Storm hasn't cleared the air at all.

    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.

Kazw I'm booked to go away too (purely coincidental ;))

Mumto5 what a nightmare, is it worth a visit to a walk in centre (pardon the pun :o) or a&e? Just maybe a different doc has a better idea?

Very humid here, was torrential this morning, with thunder and lightning. Kiddies decided there was a dragon hiding in the clouds ;)

They are at swimming now, with granny. They should be home by six so ill get some snack and their pjs together.

Been in the office today, so only a little flying since I got home. My clothes feel sweaty  shower before bed I think.

Stopped in at a friends who just had proper roof fitted to conservatory, she wanted to show it off. Looks fab. Ooh, mum just arrived so better go entertain...

Mumto5 that's rotten; you'd think they'd have something available they could offer you, that would help. Surely there must be more than one type of strong painkiller they can prescribe?:( Healing/pain-free vibes coming your way.

Feels like another storm is coming this way so washing in, may do some ironing later if it is not too hot.

Just cooking dinner then need to take DS2 to work and do a quick food shop, DS2 can come with me even though he'll moan.
