Oooo ouch, having already posted NSD for today I had to dip into my cash budget for fuel grrrr! Relayed by grrrr-ness to OH and now we are to have a vehicle fuel pot. Don't know what it will be yet, but have put it in my signature as a different budget and am expecting the £10 from the GC money to arrive back in the tin about 7pm tonight! So still a NSD really! Lynnejk - Well done on getting a place at college and all your other good news:j:j
I have come on to catch up with the thread and confess to buying a takeaway. I was just fancying one last night when I got a text out of the blue from DH saying he wanted one too. £13.50 to add!!!
This is our 2nd takeaway this month as we had a chippy tea too. Last month we had 4:eek:
Next month I really do need to split my spends into different categories to see where I can cut my spending down further as I would really like to get our spends down to £250/month. In July I spent about £500 so I am getting much better than I was but I think I can do even better than that. There is only 2 adults, a 3 year old who gets fed by DMIL or Nursery during the week and a small dog to feed as well as our toiletries and cleaning stuff so I am sure it can be done.
My total is now £297.99 with 7 days to go but 2 of those are dinner at mums and a big sunday lunch out (different budget) so only 5 dinners, 6 lunches a light snack dinner and a picnic.....hmmm, sounds a lot when I put it like that.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Just had my Tesko delivery and have to say I am impressed. On time extremely helpful driver. They had to substitute 6 of my sweet and sour sauces with more expensive ones, would have been 5.54 more.
The onions look really good, nice and dry and very firm. There are 35 onions in a 5kg bag, 3.50 for 2, so work out at 5p an onion.
Pleased with that.
Now have to work out what I spent on groceries and what was Christmas stuff.Slimming World at target0 -
I few spends to declare. Popped into B&M yesterday for a browse and picked up a block of dates for last night's steamed pudding and hubby popped a couple of bottles of ginger beer in the trolley so got away light there. Hubby has a very sweet tooth and insists on stockpiling sweets, chocolate and biscuits as well as tea and coffee lol so ran past all that stuff at break neck speed so £1.09 spent there in total.
Next was the weekly shopping today, minus hubby thank goodness. I've had several operations this year and I wasn't allowed to lift a thing for 3 months so today was my first day of freedom and boy is it cheaper without my little helper! Popped into Aldi and stuck to my shopping list (a miracle) and spent £30.29. Then next door to Iceland for a leg of lamb for a tenner which will do quite a few meals. I have a Nigel Slater recipe to try out which involves slow roasting it with garlic and rosemary and having it with parmesan mash then making lamb croquette potatoes with the left overs the next day and hopefully a lamb casserole with anything after that. I also picked up 2 bags of BBQ chicken fillets as the kids loved them at the party on Saturday and I've just made a wrap with them in and salad for my lunch post shopping. Cheap as chips at £1.50 a bag and I only needed 2 in my HUGE wrap so we'll have the rest tonight and there should be some left for my lunches during the week. So that was £13 in Iceland then finally I stopped off at Sainsburys just down the road for the rest. Namely branded items we've tried the Aldi equivalent to and don't like or they don't sell it or it's cheaper with staff discount at Sainsburys. Loo roll, Pepsi, Sheba, cat milk and low syn sausages and other than 2 packets of Colman's season and shake which were half price, I actually stuck to my list again, whoop whoop. So I spent £25.54 in there too so this week I did the weekly shopping for less than £70 which I hope to do for the rest of this month if I can as we have a lot of expense coming up in November, trip to neurologist in London as well as my car needing it's MOT and I already know it needs at least £500 worth of work done on it and that's mate's rates as my best friend's hubby is a mechanicHopefully things will improve when I start back work in November but having been off since February and no money coming in from me, (I'm self employed) it's been a tough few months but hey ho, onwards and upwards as they say and it seems like the operations have helped so hopefully I'll be back to work full steam ahead
Off to update signature after all this waffling lol. Happy birthday Florenceem xGrocery challenge June 2016

My spend to date is €159.30, so have the princely sum of €10.70 to see me through the rest of the month.....will be tight but am determined to stick to budget, as everything seems to be costing more lately.

Feeling a bit crap the last couple of days.
Spent £9 on not much in the Co-op.
£4 of that was on cooked roast beef.
Oh well!0 -
Spent a couple of pounds today, bought milk, baking block (family coming for afternoon tea) and some snacks. Need to start watching the budget a bit more carefully I think as we are getting closer, though there is still room to play :-)GC Sept '13: £249.05/£250, NSDs: 9/7!! :j

Nice surprise in post today, 1 £4 off £30 spend and 5 £3 off £30 spends for next 6 weeks. I'm sure that can spend £30 each week so these will come in very handy with this challenge.Fashion on a ration 0 of 660
