The only way you would know she was looking at you though, is if you were also looking at her.

I know what it is like when you have problem neighbours as I have lived through it and it isn't nice but you seem to be taking a deal of interest in what your neighbour is doing too.

There are often three sides to what is occurring - yours, hers and the neutral truth.

I know she's watching us because she makes it obvious she wants us to see her. It's not hard to miss her stood in her door way either when you climb out of the car, or go out to water the garden. She's taken to tapping on the window to attract our attention as well now. It's a small cul de sac and there's only about 4ft between the front doors to the front gates.

So I'd hardly say I was purposely watching her.

We only have the OP's word on that, though.

Someone with dementia could well go outside in their nightclothes. It is something my friend's mother used to do [although she didn't watch the neighbours].

I go out to the shop in my pj's. doesn't mean I have dementia.

Equally, the old woman is entitled to stand in her garden too.

Seriously though, if the OP starts taking pictures is that any more acceptable than the old lady standing in her garden?

    Why escalate something?

The comment about the husband's nationality was definitely out of order, although I 'think' the reference to her husband being a terrorist is the OP's take on it. I'm not sure the old lady used those words.

The old woman comes into MY garden to look through the windows. When did that become acceptable?!

No, you're quite correct, her exact comment was made during her rant last week, she said she knew where he was from, and that we don't need his kind of trouble over here. Everyone knows the history of NI, so I can only presume she thought he was likely to be either IRA or UVF, or such like. I don't know what other trouble she'd be referring to?

Totally irrelevant. You don't have to be the subject of a racist comment to be offended by it, or for it to be an offence.

You started this thread on 20/07. Over the last four days all these extra things are meant to have happened and you've found out all this extra information and yet, you've been there how long?

Why, over four days, have all these things started happening?

Honestly, if you know she is watching you, you have to be looking at her. If she is now, suddenly, today, tapping on your windows, chances are she has mental health issues. TBH though, it is sounding more and more far fetched as the thread develops, in my opinion.

As previously mentioned, the recent reports from Northern Ireland about 'trouble' have been to do with parades, which - leaving the political aspects to one side - involve music played at high volume.

I do agree with the poster who made the point that you seem to be watching your neighbour quite a lot too.
