OP,
How long is your tenancy? If it is six months you are coming to the end of it. At least you can move fairly easily if you want to, unlike if you had purchased the house/flat. I know that you shouldn't have to and that it may incur unplanned for expense, but you will get peace of mind.0 -
Filming a private individual for one's personal advantage is an unlawful invasion of privacy.
Quite simply IT ISN'T.
They can request that you stop filming them and you should comply with that request.

We had a nasty nasty vile old hag living next door to us when we first moved in to our present house. We were warned y the vendors that she was an unpleasant person but sheesh she went beyond unpleasant
Our 2 children were just toddlers when we moved in.I saw her curtains twitching when we were unloading the van.As soon as the van left she was hanging around the back garden(ver secluded only our garden and hers) Instantly when I walk out of the back door she was on me. "I sleep in the front bedroom so ensure those kids are in the back bedroom" were her first words
The house had previously been a buy to let and none of the last 4 tenants had even reached 6 months in the house
We had everything and I mean EVERYTHING slung at us.In the first week I was walking down the street with toddler number 1 and said good morning to a different neighbour. He said oh no I'm not talking to you because you beat your wife and kids up
What on earth!!!
There is a local store at the end of the street I went in for some essentials.I got exactly the same response from the shop owner. She refused to serve me
We went to my inlaws for the weekend to take stock and when we arrived home the police were waiting.I had apparently tried to murder my wife during the night! The fact we were 100 miles away seemed not to matter to the crazy woman
Things came to a head when she stormed into our childs nursery and started shouting at him for crying the night before. The staff called the police and she was taken away only to return later and start screec hing again in the back garden.Always the back garden never the front
Luckily a WPC went and spoke to her.She told her we were only using the house as a stop gap originally but, that she had annoyed us so much, we were going to stay forever and we were planning more kids
Her house was up for sale within 2 weeks
Its funny but years later most of the neighbours still blank me and the wife.Although one set,who had kept in touch with the crazy bat, came round to say they had spent the weekend with her at her new place and she gone loopy when her new neighbours cat had entered her garden and tried to hit it with a wooden pole. They realised we were right
I still don't talk to them0 -
My grandfather has dementia and I must say that the behaviour she (edit: your neighbour) displays does not match up with his. I would absolutely agree that dementia does cause the sufferer on occasion to act as if they have had a complete personality transplant, my grandfather has occasionally lashed out verbally or has appeared to be quite cross and frustrated. However the next day he will wake up and will have no memory of it, will be back to his normal self or be in a docile state. But is he capable of launching a carefully calculated, planned, "documented" attack on someone over a lengthy period of time? Absolutely not. No way. This part of the situation does not tally with what I know of dementia sufferers at all.
I really feel for you MentalMinnie, it sounds very stressful and I think you have done superbly so far to not completely lose your rag at her. I would just concur what some other posters have said and try to keep calm, kepe your own diary of it all and absolutely alert the police that there is someone trying to intimidate and harrass you in your own home.First home purchased 09/08/2013

No you shouldn't, would defeat the point. you should carry on filming and that be that. Nothing can happen to you, legally0 -

Good its sorted now, but you should've nipped this in the bud straight away.
Contacted the police for harassment, and a solicitor to sue for slander. With what she was saying you could've got her house!
My first answer would've been - My kids dont sleep, but there's is the front room, goodluck!0 -
Well, I've spoken to the council. She'd given 3 dates and times whereby we'd caused a noise nuisance. Strangely, she hasn't given the one from the other day, where she did actually come out. Anyway. Non of the 3 dates given were possible. The first occasion we weren't in the country, and the other two, on consecutive days my husband had the car, on site, over 30 miles away. We have a vehicle log and time sheets to prove it. She's completely mental.
And surprise surprise, when we've just got home, she's appeared at her door to watch us. AND she's been in our front garden again this morning to put the recycling box in, and no doubt been peering in the windows.0 -

You need to tell her, on camera, that you remove any implied rights of access to your prperty, she is not allowed to set foot on your land.0 -
