We have it every fortnight , alternating between the morning and evening services.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I didn't see your comment which you say was removed.
It's been re-posted in # 58 and was at me for daring to disagree with her re which hymns to have .Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I'm very surprised at the poster who's made those comments; I'd always thought well of her before.0

That's what spoils so many threads that are remotely about religion - the bizarre correlation between having a faith and taking offence at everything.
I think your posts may have been removed because of your personal comments about another poster.
Nothing to do with faith.
The supposed 'bizarre correlation between having a faith and taking offence at everything' appears to be a belief which you hold. I do not share it.
Just as I did not share your interpretation that Torry Quine's comments were her "Doing it again! ... just insinuating that those choices are juvenile."
If your re-post is removed, please bear in mind that MSE frowns on mere references to deleted posts/threads. I have no idea how a re-post would be viewed.0 -
No time to read the whole thread, but avoid my choice if you don't want to get the giggles: Dear Lord and Father of Mankind

My Dad suggested to me having "fight the good fight" ... maybe he knew something I didn't! (we've been divorced 12 years lol)
I picked "Love divine" and "Come down O love divine" which unbeknown to me were the 2 hymns my parents had when they married.I do not have a short attention sp .....oooh shiney!!0 -
I have just remembered another 'think before you choose' hymn: Turn back, O man, Forswear thy foolish ways.
Which I only know from Godspell, but is apparently a 'real' hymn.
BTW, someone earlier said they thought O Lord My God was a bit dirgey: it was sung at the last wedding I went to, and the organist introduced some nice 'twiddles' I hadn't heard before, especially for the birds singing line.Signature removed for peace of mind0
