I’m really not sure that chasing up does much. Way I see it is that each application is just a number in a pile and they get to it when they get to it.
My fella says that too haha
Must be a man thing then!
Don't get me wrong, chasing up is good to find out what's going on by the day but I just can't be arsed with it! Sitting on hold for 20 minutes each time isn't fun.
  • Hi, been looking through all the posts, nervously awaiting a decision from NatWest....

    22/6 full application submitted
    24/6 valuation
    25/6 valuation report received
We are both employed, the only pending arrows are for our payslips! Fingers crossed to hear back soon! Anyone else currently waiting for a decision from NatWest?
In the same position as you! Awaiting payslips to be reviewed! Our valuation has all been done too! Xx
That’s good to know! When did you put in your application? Xx
    Application 19/6/20
    Valuation 25/6/20
And now just waiting! Our broker today has said they're waiting to review payslips. I haven't had the tracker details though so no idea where on the scale we are!
On our tracker this morning our payslips now have ticks next to them......fingers crossed!!
Our MA never gave us the tracker details, said it would cause me more stress 😂😂😂 is the payslips the last thing to tick off?
  • Hey, is there anyone who is still waiting for any update from Santander... We put our mortgage application on 27th of May. Received an SMS confirmation on 15th of June that it will be transferred to the underwriter. Still nothing yet... Is it a bad sign?
Yes I am, had valuation on the 20th June and now waiting, I feel like I’m going out of my mind!
Has your broker said why it’s taken a week since the valuation to get a decision?
Because I’m buying a new build that has everything in it, there was a form the surveyor wanted. That was sent in on Thursday though
Hopefully you’ll get some good news soon (I’m also buying a new build with Santander)
I am still waiting to hear a decision, have you heard yet?
  • Still waiting for any update at all from HSBC. No idea if they've booked or even done a valuation yet as a friend's was completely unaware they had done one digitally for her. Self-employed so hoping that is the only hold up. Application submitted May 1st, documents submitted 4th June, additional documents requested submitted 8th June and nothing since. Starting to get quite nervous now.
Wow, that's making me worried now if going by your timeline and no update from HSBC yet? We've only just submitted all the documents today and was told by customer services, should get an update within 10 days. Your timeline suggests it's almost a month?  :# Our vendor wants to complete/exchange end of July.  :(
From what I've seen, most HSBC atm are taking anything from 2.5 weeks-ish to a month so mine is quite unusual. I think it's partly to do with being self-employed and partly to do with the fact the majority of my business is in subtitling so they may be worried how the shutdown in production will affect me down the line. So far no changes to my income, other than a bit of an increase, so it shouldn't be a problem but I wouldn't worry too much. My friend applied with her partner, both are employed, on the 8th and their application was approved last Thursday.
  • @bethanyjade92 we've just had our offer!!!!!!!!

This is true in regards to the timescale for HSBC. They're taking a lifetime.
But that's what you get when you decide that you want to be the only lender to accept applications at 90%-95% LTV.

Nothing. I know the valuation is booked in for the 13th.

I think my documents will be with the underwriter today so I’m nervous
