Hi i would love to join this thread.. After being declined by nationwide, my broker applied to santander on the 20th May. We got a call from the broker on the 29th may saying our mortgage has been agreed subject to valuation. They have done a desktop valuation which came back all ok on 8th June now we are just waiting for our offer. Does it usually take this long for them to issue a offer. I literally can not sleep because of this we have been agreed i am just worried incase they decline us after waiting so long. Can anyone help please0

Halifax approved ours today! Hooray! Can breathe again now. They ended up doing a desktop valuation rather than a physical one.2

No HSBC are still doing 10% I got itjamesm5094 said:Guys can anyone help?I put a mortgage application in through a mortgage broker to HSBC back in beginning of May, I am purchasing my next house privately so get chatting to the sellers and on the 22nd a valuation was completed. I was told on Friday (2 days ago) by my mortgage broker that my mortgage has been cancelled because banks aren’t accepting 10% deposits currently as well as HSBC aren’t taking into account any overtime.I phoned HSBC and the woman on the phone couldn’t see any information on my file because it was through a mortgage broker but she said they are doing 10% mortgages but are not taking into account overtime.I don’t feel my mortgage broker is telling me the truth as the story doesn’t add up, a valuation has been done, 2 weeks ago HSBC requested proof of income for my partner as she is self employed but in the 8th the whole mortgage was cancelled.
can anyone help please?Thanks0 -
Thank you, I have found out reasons behind the whole story now and there has been confusion about my partners self employed business. HSBC seem to believe it’s ceased trading completely when she only shut it down because of coronavirus and will be starting it back up again when possible. This is why HSBC declined our mortgage as they would only take my income and I can’t lend enough, so my broker is trying to appeal it now and convince HSBC that she will be trading again when possible.mrspydey said:

Just got my offer today so post my timeline here:
4th AIP through broker with Natwest, hard search.
8th full application went in, online tracker says a valuation has been instructed on 8th.
9th asked more information, 11th asked more information.
12th online tracker all tick except waiting for valuation.
15th morning Broker said Natwest told them application has been approved subject to valuation.
15th Valuation took place and report has been sent to Natwest in evening. ( I contacted Natwest directly)
16th Valuation report has been received and picked by underwrite in the morning.
Offer has been issue in the afternoon. (from tracker as my broker doesn't communicate often)
I will let you know once I have received the post offer letter.0 -
Congratulations! I'm so jealous! I submitted a full application on 2nd and I received my valuation back on 5th but they still haven't reviewed my accounts/ID/tax returns. I'm getting so impatient and the more I call, the more they seem to fob me off!Vanessa1215 said:Just got my offer today so post my timeline here:
