Anyone had any movement from HSBC?

Awaiting a response from Yorkshire Building Society on a remortgage, valuation has been taken off the book price so not sending anyone out, in principle application is accepted, paperwork sent in post on the 9th June, now awaiting a response from the underwriters, does anyone know how long this normally takes???

I haven't heard anything yet, but the application only went in last Wednesday. They did a soft search on my credit file on Friday, so they've started at least.
I'm working on the principal that no news is good news; if they were going to decline it, I imagine they could do that quite quickly (there's no reason they should, but it's hard not to worry anyway).

@caw379..... no. Not at all! I am trying to stay calm and collected and I am hoping to hear back by the end of the week and if I don’t I might cry. How about you?

HSBC people - did they contact you before they did the valuation, or did you just find out from your broker or the estate agent?
Also, any tips for waiting patiently much appreciated!

@lizhd yes very good point they would pretty soon wouldn't they, I guess! 
@yelaro we got asked for more docs today, I was so hoping we would have a yes answer today or tomorrow but looks like ill be waiting until next week again now, back to the bottom of the pile! I'm going to try @lizhd mantra and say to myself no news is good news - while crying and eating icecream!  I will have my fingers crossed for you both!

Nope they didnt, just found out via broker that it came back okay. I submitted 2nd June and valuation was 8th June. I read an article today and they are back to normal timeline with valuations and aim to do them within 4 days of application.
